Truck is looking great buddy. Look forward to the LS swap. They are ALOT of fun with the LS. Make killer power with a turbo set up too!

LS68 thanks! 20x8s in the front, 20x12s in the rear with a 7" backspacing. The rearend is a stock width 68 rear.

Thanks! I'm looking for a Maggie. It will probably be "stock" until then.

Well I finally got the Porterbuilt tubular trailing arms installed. It took me a little while to figure out the correct rear spring to get everything back where I wanted it. I originaly had a 6" dropped spring, now it's a 4" one. I also weighed all the new and old parts just to see what the weight difference was. It looks like I lost about 50 lbs off of the rear, plus it looks super cool! I'm not sure when I'm going to get time to install the front tubular stuff, I may wait until I do the engine swap.... Here are some pictures of the rear. I also got the Vintage A/C condenser mounted on the burb. I'll probably go with this setup in the 68 eventually.

Re: 68 S/C update.....

OK guys, I love the power of the 383 and the vortech, but I'm a LS guy at heart...., so here's revision 3.2.9.7a.......

Building blocks: LQ4, L92 heads, Magnuson TVS1900, Thorley big tube headers, 4L80E........I'm looking for around 700HP at the crank with about 600 to the wheels. I want streetability, reliability and decent fuel mileage (). Here's a link to motor build up page:

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=551464

Please reply here on that link with suggestions and recommendations (Cam/springs/stall). Thanks in advance.

Nice !!

I have been playing with LS based engines for a while. Have a 427 stroker LS3 in my 2010 Camaro with a Kenne Bell 2.8 Supercharger on 12 psi and 93 pump gas making about 900 flywheel and 735 to the tire. ( Auto eats up 18%).

Its a LOT of fun, should really be a blast in a C10 !!!!

I run a custom grind Comp Cam that was spec by Jannetty Racing, and my convertor is a 2600 stall. I am using Patriot Performance "Gold" Springs on stock LS3 heads that were ported by Patriot Performance also.

Good Luck with your project, its gonna be a runner for sure!
