Not much happening around here as far a progress.......Porterbuilt shipped some parts out today

Well my dream of running the stock air cleaner may have died......I dropped the base as low as it can go witch is good.....
but now the lid hits the top of the carb

It's soooo close......but this isn't horse shoes

And the motor needs to get air.....I really don't want a cowl hood either. Billet Specialties makes a air cleaner that looks like a stock one.

I wasn't sure about doing that.... how much can a guy take off the air horn???

I have seent he complete air horn taken off down to the main body just at the "rim" where the air cleaner sits. Doing it does eliminate the choke plate on the carb, cold weather starts will be a bit more difficult but not impossible.

Russ- Do you have any room between the rack and the oil pan? Maybe we can drop the motor a little and squeeze a little more room out of it for ya?

Here is where i need some room....this pan is the muscle car pan from GM Performance Parts , great for ground clearance not so much for rack clearance
