Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild

That's awesome bro!!! I knew you had them specially after you came to my house. I asked you and you did not give me a straight answer. Anyhow Let's get your truck done so we could jump on mine.

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild

I will post picts of it once it is on the floor. We had a mishap one of my guys drilled thru the tail light harness so we have to fix it while I order a new one so I can drive it home.

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild

Well finished the truck tonight right around 7:30pm. Unfortunetly had to cut my exhaust off about five inches past the mufflers and it sound like garbage now . I knew I was going to have to do that because how my exhaust was routed three years ago. Well the truck looks bad ass and I was teling my friends that I feel like cutting the front springs a little to lower the front and drive it with a static drop. But then I came to my senses !!!!
I received almost all my brake parts today except for the rear calipers I received the wrong ones and I should be getting the right ones next week. we will be moving my truck over to Raul's so the air ride and four wheel disc convertion could get installed and dialed in. Then a trip to the muffler shop once the suspension is dialed in. here are a few picts of before the notch and two inch blocks and pictures of the after result I am digging it even though my guys hat the big tire..Let me know what you all think if I should replace the tire for a 295-40-20 instead of what I have which is 295-45-20.

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild

Dude I went with 255/35/20... I think they are too small. I have not driven on them yet but when I look at the truck its not enough tire. Yours looks mean.. all stuffed in there.

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild

I love the way the rear tire looks. If you want to change something....put 20's up front

But I think it looks great and will look even better once the front end drops.

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild

Switch to the 295/40's!
Add some 20's up front.
That's my vote.

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild

I like the meat of the 45's myself...but the 40 series seems what most like. I will have to agree with lolife and Vac... 20's up front would look pretty sweet.

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild

I'll have to vote w/the group as well & suggest the 295-40's. You'd keep the same foot-print but lose some of the excessive height (excessive because there's already a 2" stagger on the front to rear wheel diameters).

I like it!
