Re: My 56 build

It’s officially been on a shake down run. Had it up to 60. Drives straight, but still needs an alignment. Have a drive train noise I have to diagnose. I’ll get to that later. Also, I wasn’t sure the coolant system would work the way I set it up. Seems to be ok. Almost runt too cool. I have 20+ miles on it now. It definitely has plenty of power and those borlas sound great. So now onto the interior. I didn’t want to pull the seat back out. Can’t drive it now Started by finishing the center console in maple. Then made some side for the seats.

Re: My 56 build

Started wrapping interior panels today. I invested in the gallon of contact adhesive and a $15 hobo freight paint gun. I’ve see it done on tv. So far I’ve been pretty successful. Started on the ceiling. Material went on well, but that rubber gasket that goes up there is a lot of fun to get in place. I can’t get the corners in. I’ll attempt again tomorrow. I made the corner panels (3rd picture) out it aluminum. Worked well. I put 6x9 in them. They also conceal the seat belt reels. The holes are for the seat belts to travel through. The kick panels are nearly done. Just have door panels and I have to finish clearing the wood work. Tomorrow’s project… I have the week off

Here’s a link to a video of it out in the sun. The bed wood is complete!
