I put the bed on to get a look at it with the cab corner.

Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build
I also ran into another snag, apparently my cab has been sitting on the trailing arm crossmember. Not sure exactly how i'm going to fix it yet but I have a few ideas.

Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build
Well it happened because the rear portion of my floor is stock suburban and in the suburban the trailing arm crossmember is farther forward then it is now. I added like 20 some inches to the wheel base so there is no clearance in this area of the floor to clear the crossmember. It is not a big deal I knew it was close, just need to decide how I want to fix it. This is one of the things I would have done different if I started this project today I would of used the truck cab floor in the rear and I wouldn't of ran into this problem. I am also going to have to fab all seat mounting points as well because of this.

Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build
Looks great! I'm sure you can fix that little interference problem pretty easy. Just a matter of making a cover plate and welding it in.

It shouldn't be a big deal I think I may cut out the orginal one and move it back then use a flat peice to replace that hole. In the pic you can see the orginal one and where I need to move it.

Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build
I made mounts for the rear seat. I made some plates with nuts welded to them then welded them on the botom side of the floor. then I cut some 14ga
out for the top to help distribute the weight from the seat. I also made the other speaker mount and seam sealed everthing. Only thing left for the rear is the seatbelt mounts.

I always forget about floor bolts until I am installing stuff. Again, your are doing great work with this conversion.

I used the old welding wire trick to build up the gap
