Re: Project: Turbo 250
I have a lot of time and research and resources into this project, however I feel as though I would be happier with the low end performance of the diesel. As well as the fuel economy. If anyone is interested in the motor, ignition, fueling and turbo/ exhaust system with the the transmission and clutch assy. make me an offer.

Re: Project: Turbo 250
Yes the engine is up for sale. I picked up a 4BT cummins yesterday and am backing it with an NV4500. If I had $10 for every time I heard "if I only had the money" the engine would be sold right now lol no joke, I have received so many calls and emails about it stating they had followed the build and hated to see me sell it, but $3500 is a steal for that setup... even though I am going to lose my tail on the inline 6 I had fun with the build and enjoyed it, now its time for me to play with this little diesel!

Re: Project: Turbo 250
Well time for the next motor. The little 4bt wasn't quite enough for me. I am currently building a 12 valve. More details of the motor specs coming.

Re: Project: Turbo 250
Motor/ trans is capable of putting some serious power to the ground (over 1000hp with the propane injection secondarys) but will be keeping it de-tuned to keep it clean and see what kind of fuel economy I can get. Going to shoot for around 400hp and 850 lb ft of torque

Re: Project: Turbo 250
That’s gonna be stout!
What about the 4bt wasn’t working for you? Not enough power?

Re: Project: Turbo 250
Job well done!!!
I've always thought a Cummins would be cool in a street driven pickup. A friend had one in a 3/4 ton. He took out the original 6.2. |
