Re: 2wd Blazer and Jimmy's find thread
Looks pretty nice from what I can tell , Same owner for the last 20 years. What was it going for on Ebay? Is it worth the 16K he's asking for it being that its a conversion and not an original 2wd?

it's a 4x4 body on a shortened 2wd pickup truck frame.

Re: 2wd Blazer and Jimmy's find thread
I saw the Orange one twice at the Portland swap meet, given it is on a truck frame, something about it seemed odd to me. It might just be the placement of the floor shifter, (seems pretty far to the rear) or something else But I do not recall anything specific about it at the moment. The first time I saw it, it was in primer and a little rough. This past year it was running and driving pretty much how it looks in the pictures. The gentleman was nice to talk to, I even bought a few small parts from him. Wish I could remember more details..

Re: 2wd Blazer and Jimmy's find thread
Thanks for the info guys , I think i may pass on that one. My car builder gave me a shout lastnight and let me know a friend of his here on the coast has an True 72 2wd for sale , it's fully restored and also the same truck that got me interested in the blazers in the first place so Hopefully we can hash out a deal. It has a built 396 BB in it , anyone ever heard of these trucks coming with that engine? I know he has it mated to a late model 700R4 for the overdrive but I cant ever recall seeing one with a 396

Wow, that 73 does look nice. 73-75 were known for their rust! Nice to see one that survived.

Re: 2wd Blazer and Jimmy's find thread
Hey guys new member here and have been looking for a 2wd blazer for a while. Im located in northern Alabama, but I am willing to drive to get what i want. I am looking for one of two things; either a previously restored blazer thats in decent condition that i can do a nice static drop and wheel combo on, or a roller to do a roadster build with. Budget will depend on the truck and condition.

Blazester has his '72 for sale. It is closer to you (in the Atlanta area). You could get it for around $20k, which in my opinion is a steal compared to what all has been done to it. I posted a few pics of it at the Auto Fair here in CLT on Saturday in THIS forum thread. He also has it for sale in the forum classifieds HERE Of course, I wouldn't change much on his. It will go anywhere now. He's ran it on the Hot Rod Power Tour. It's already lowered (without bags). Of course, I am a daily driver guy. I wanna be able to enjoy mine everyday of the week, so I am not a big fan of airbags. If I had the money (or the existing credit), that's the one I would be going for.

Re: 2wd Blazer and Jimmy's find thread
Hey guys, I have been a member of the forum for a while but have not posted.
I love the discussion on these 2WD blazers. I currently own a SWB 2WD '69 C10 with a factory wood bed. I have been considering selling or trading my truck for a 2WD blazer...anything in particular I should look for? I live in Denver CO....if any one knows of one for sale in the area give me a heads up. Nice to meet you all! Curtis Posted via Mobile Device |

@5150
That is very nice! I have seen it a few times on a few different sites. Unfortunately it is not quite what I am looking for and probably more than I want to spend. I do love the ride though! Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: 2wd Blazer and Jimmy's find thread
Who knows why I haven't sold it yet. I know the topless thing is a turnoff for some. Kind of figured someone in California would be all over it.
