It does seem to sit high for only a 4" lift, the bigger axles and 1 ton frame boost it a couple more.

NICE truck Tony. My dad had one just like that back in '76. Red, 400 with a 4 speed......Your pics brought back some good memories. That truck was the one that started my love for this body style!

Yup, brackets were super easy; just straight 3/16 plate drilled for bolts.

Re: post your 67-72 4x4
Yeah, good call. This particular picture was taken in Kansas on the way back to Texas. I pulled out of Manhattan KS, and headed south and got snowed on all until I got south of Oklahoma City. I always like to see them in action also. Doing what they were built to do.

Nice truck! You don't see them with the toolbox very often.

Re: post your 67-72 4x4
Thanks for the comments. This is actually the 8th 72 I've owned and by far the most optioned. Factory buckets, tilt, tach, air, dual batteries, original interior in near mint condition.
The green and white is my last truck. I built it from the axles up. Sold it in 2001 on eBay. |

Re: post your 67-72 4x4
Glad you got your truck back, I did the same, sold mine in 2003 installed a 454 for my buddy a year ago then bought it back just 6 months ago, not leaving again either. Nice color.
