What color is that blue, I love it. I want to do mine in a cobalt blue with grey interior.

Re: Project: Turbo 250

Thanks guys! As far as how she drives... The ride is smooth! There is plenty of power, it pulls my boat great! On the down side, she runs rich until 2lbs of boost where she snorts due to a lean transition between vacuum and boost, followed by rich all the way though 12 lbs of boost. I raced her against an 06 chipped duramax from 30mph to 100mph and I pulled 3 truck lengths on him. And she will run 128mph in the 1/4 mile, no idea of time due to just having it marked out and using a gps with a top speed recorder to determine the top speed it ran. BUT... All of that running to rich leaves me with a 10-12mpg average..... so It is back to doing some tweaking on the carb to pull that 20mpg+ that I am shooting for.

Re: Project: Turbo 250

Impressive. My top end is about 105 mph with a 283 and TH350. Used to be a bit more with a hotter cam back in the day, but it's just a good fun cruiser now. Tuning can be a pain but it's not nearly as bad as sanding primer endlessly.

If I ever get through your area again I will want a ride. I'm thinking of doing the end part of next years power tour and I believe it ends in Madison.

Re: Project: Turbo 250

South central, west of Mankato about an hour. I cover the lower 2/3 of MN for my work territory and a good chunk of IA also, but haven't worked in your area for a couple years. We got someone hired to do that now so I don't have to wander quite so far from home. It's a pretty drive, but about 6 hours long. If you ever wander west along Hwy 14 or I-90 feel free to stop by.

??? Your inline 6??? It is the original inline 6 to the truck.... either way thank you! The inline is a great motor... just needs a little tweaking to really make em shine!

Re: Project: Turbo 250

sounds like a just a few more tweeks and you'll have it nailed man...nothing like getting all the little kinks ironed out! Speaking of fine tuning...have you heard of Performance Products fuel injection? It's a wide-band O2 sensor all inclusive EFI system that bolts onto standard square bore intakes and will support up to 25lbs of boost...might be a nice upgrade/alternative to tuning the carb every season change, not to mention the best A/F ratio at all levels of boost...

Re: Project: Turbo 250

Well, tuning has been at a stand still given the Wisconsin Winters... as well as any work on the truck. After having a shifter fail on me, I washed her up pushed her inside put her on jackstands and that is where she has sat all winter, untouched. I have recently purchased a new house so come spring, and the thaw of the snow and clearing of salt from the roads, we can begin the adventure of fine tuning the beast.

You got a great looking build! I love that color blue! Quick question on the the Curt hidden hitch. Do you have any other pictures of it installed? Does it come out through the license plate? I'm looking at getting it for my truck. Thanks!

Awesome, thanks! Do know if comes out through the license plate, or does it come out below it?

Re: Project: Turbo 250

It does come through, however, with a flip spring mount (the ones used for the fuel door on cars) It just flips up and the receiver goes in.
