Re: Project: "just a little rust repair, turned LS2 swap"

First Post! This project made me laugh and I had to sign up and comment.

It reminds me of a '67 El Camino that started with curiosity of what was under the dash pad. My friend and I weren't done taking it apart that evening until we had the entire interior, dash and all, spread out in my drive way... It became months of work including new upholstery, paint, wheels and full drive train rebuild, but it was worth every bit of effort.

Keep up the great work! This thread is inspiration to start on my projects again.

Thanks! and yes I loved it last summer when we were test driving it. Put about 1500 miles on it and loved every second of it!

Re: Project: "just a little rust repair, turned LS2 swap"

But good news over this past weekend we got the engine fired back up for the first time since last fall and with the new cam in it. It started right up without a issue like we had been running it the day before, gotta love the LSX engines!

Re: Project: "just a little rust repair, turned LS2 swap"

I was going to get some pictures posted but it's telling me I have to resize them, never had to do that before on here. So I'm trying to figure out how to do that on my Macbook now.

Open them in preview and you can resize them under tools/adjust size. I had the same problem

Not sure how I've missed this build. Great job and totally awesome craftsmanship by the way.
So I start reading, can't stop, drink my morning coffee and breakfast and keep reading. This is one of those rare mornings that I have to myself to go out to the shop but I keep reading. Did I mention great job and totally awesome craftsmanship? I keep reading.
So I get to this point, black and white pics, hmmmmm then drop off, nothing, I hit the subscribe button so its official.

Re: Project: "just a little rust repair, turned LS2 swap"

Ok guys I've made it back! Sorry for the delay.
I started a new job and we've been in start up at the plant working 6-7 days a week up to 15 hour days. I've had 0 free time.
But the truck is down to needing glass, interior, getting the grill refinished, and finishing the bed wood. I have hardly been on on the computer so I've been away from my media life. I'll get back on it, sorry for the delay!!
