I've got 6 months coming up soon and I have a 2 year coin laying around here someplace but apparently I wasn't done doing my research. Maybe in a year and a 1/2 this coin will be valid to me again.

Had a nice lunch with my wife of 46 years at a local eat place.
Half BLT sandwich with a cup of wild rice soup. |

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
My brother called me the other day and asked if I had any used motor oil to dispose of; since every time I go to the local O'Reilly's to dispose of used oil, they have a sign up
"Oil Tank Full" so yep about 15 gallons worth. I got 3-5gallon cans out to fill; I have one of those 30-gallon oil catch tanks that you empty with regulated compressed air. My first time to empty it. Got everything set up and even practiced opening the 2" ball valve on top to relieve the pressure and stop the flow. Yep, I got this! Worked great for the first 2 cans....went to shut it off to start filling can 3 but now the whole oil tank is about 80 lbs lighter and as I tried to open the ball valve to relieve the pressure it rolls away from me...S*^%, F*@%...Why Me! Couldn't move fast enough to get it shut down before it was overflowing... about a water bottle full went to the floor, down the can and all over the cart I had them on. We all know a drop of oil makes a 12" diameter spot so you can imagine. Lesson learned...get a second party to operate the valve or use wheel chocks on the tank wheels. |

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
Wife wants to go camping. Motorhome battery was dead, pulled it out and took it home. Nice ordeal. I need a cane because of bad knees, but my youngest son couldn't lift it. Dragged it out of the motorhome and staggered to the truck with it. Tried to charge it, but somehow it broke the battery charger. Got a new battery (parts store couldn't charge it, either), and fortunately it had a handle, so I could one-arm it into the motorhome. 60# one arm curl for the win. Now, if I could get that kind of work out of my knees...wife will be taking the two yappy chawas camping for 3 days, and I'll have some real peace and quiet.
