im considering a 4.5 front and 5.5 or 6 rear.

May have to go bags rear id the drive way is an issue.

thanks.
I have a driveway like this as well. Anyone have experience with a steep driveway and a 4/6 drop?

i may have uploaded to this thread b4 but thought i would share some more.
static drop. still to tall in the rear for my personal taste but its work in progress . not much clearence. running the tall 20" wheels with the low profile tires really helped compare to the weld wheels and aluminum eagles i had b4. wheels make a huge difference im constantly changing my mind on what i like im on my 3rd set of wheels with this truck.

How's the ride with the 20's compared to your 15's? Looks good by the way.

Its really the same in my opinion. once you lower the truck as much as i have, the ride is fairly stiff but still not bad. the lower profile tires dont seem to make an obvious difference other than i feel as if the steering got twitchy and more reactive to grooves in the road.

Re: How about some pics of Static Dropped C-10's

I have a question for everyone that did a drop with new spindles, springs, and shocks. Like the one I want to order from ECE 4/6 drop kit.
Did you do the rest of the suspension bushings and parts while you were at it? Just wondering because that would add another couple of hundred dollars. Making a parts list and wondering if this all needs to be done at the same time for a nice solid riding truck. Also for safety.

Re: How about some pics of Static Dropped C-10's

Honestly, I didn't do it on mine, but my bushings and ball joints were fine. I did change them out when I went to an air suspension since I completely replaced the lower control arms and did a full rebuild of the front steering components.

If your bushings and ball joints have seen better days and you're going to need to replace them anyway, it would be easier to do when you replace your spindles since you'll have to have it off to do the ball joints anyway. It's also a whole lot easier to do bushings with the control arms off the truck, so spindles would come off for that too.

If you have the funds, I recommend you do it all at once. And have fun with it!

Re: How about some pics of Static Dropped C-10's

If it's not been done recently, it'd be a good idea to replace all that. I replaced it all when I did my 5 lug swap, but didn't when I added lowering parts since they were all recently new(~4 yrs old).

I'm at the same place with my truck. I'm gathering parts for the front and rear lowering with a disk brake upgrade, due to the lowering spindles. My truck has 57K miles on it and although it's been maintained. Now is the time to replace the 50 year old bushings and ball joints, since everything will be apart. I went with Moog on those items. I'll replace the steering linkage, if I see any wear. I haven't even looked at the rear arm bushings, but I should replace those as well, due to their age.

Afterwards I plan on driving it a little harder. Plus, the 396 is going to double the torque, HP and weight over the inline 6.

The fronts are 255s on a 15x7 rally, while the rears are 275s on a 15x8 rally.
