I just have to say that God blesses us all with people in our travels and lives that come along and just do good things... it's amazing and very humbling at the same time when the good nature of people comes out towards others - perfect strangers, yet somehow God let our paths cross for some reason only he knows.

Many of the people on this board are just that... people that I have now crossed paths with for no other reason than Gods good will. A huge THANK YOU to those that have helped me with this project of mine (you know who you are are) and thanks doesnt go far enough..... Hope we all meet up face to face someday soon.

Truck is really coming together, would have thought like you that the SB springs would do it, good thing you know ahead of time, sure love the stance and the tire wheel combo, classy by mean looking at the same time.

MM - Thanks for checkin in - Yes thats what I thought too at 1700-1800 lbs on just the front but QA-1 said nope! --- They do them all the time in cars trucks vans, everything with a BBC needs 550+ amazing.

I did get mine changed out today and they sit perfect now, I have the coil-over set at about 2" off the bottom of the shock to start with. I have a brand new set of SBC springs for sale for a GEN1/GEN2 Camaro front end. Summit wont take them back now that it has been 2 years.

Door panels are done - came out decent, they will have power window boxes over the front circle and the second circle has a plug welded into it to make it flush and will have a 19mm pushbutton for the door popper.

Thinking of putting a black arm rest/grab handle on them too ??? what do you guys think? Kind of plain as is....




Got the dash holes all cut out for gauges, switches, idiot lights, and everything going in it so I can wrap the dash in leather.... next.



I also got my driveline all installed... ready to roll! almost....

Heres a shot of the 350 lb spring setup on the QA-1 coilover shock - this is good for an SBC, or any of the LS motor setups.

Truck is looking good. Is it just the picture on the driveline but is the shaft not centered in the loop and rubbing on the right side?

Making the show is still up in the air - want to be sure all the bugs are worked out. Ill be there with my boat no matter what, but the truck may not make it.

Took a pic before we were all done with it, the 4-link was not all connected and I scratched the paint while getting the driveshaft into that stupid hoop!.... Thanks for pointing that out though Mike!

Ok so getting it back together again and again... do I sound tired yet?

and I thought "Final Assembly" MEANT FINAL!!!! ---

Truck progress this week; got the electrical pretty much completed with all the relays, CDI ignition and main fuse block. Door panels with PW switches and popper buttons. waiting on arm rests. The rear bed panels are gonna be made out of stainless steel and hopefully be done next week. And the doors ... well they are still being worked on.... ENGINE is ready to RUN!

So a few hiccups and landmines for you guys to watch out for here:

1. Relays can be your friend or your enemy depending upon where they are located.

2. Door jamb Wire looms made by Autoloc do not fit very many wires!

3. Will have to re-invent where the PW relays are located or the PW switches which I have already installed int the door panels.... Whoops!

4. Dont cut wires for plugs at the far end of the truck until you have landed the front end of the truck... you'll be doing it again.

5. Dont rely on Summit Racing, Speedway Racing, or any other company that has "racing" in their name for technical support....

6. Bondo doesnt harden in 110 degree weather..... and needs to be scraped off and done again....

6. And finally when welding on really hot days above 110 degrees - dont wear flips flops.... wear your boots!!!! ---- Burnt feet hurt!


We are almost getting there .....

Note: both the electrical pictures are suppose to be vertical - rotate clockwise.... the relay/terminal strips are in the drivers side kick panel area that has been gutted of all air vents. The CDI/Fuse Panel is up under the dash to the left of the steering wheel.

Thanks so much Dan - Nope didnt miss a thing.... theres a bit of body work to get done on it and the weather has been so ungratefully hot here that the bondo just doesnt like it much. and I hate doing bodywork once - more less twice! ... So Ive just been delaying the inevtiable.... -- But cant find a local guy that wants to do side work for cheap, everybody's busy. My doors need finishing too, then they can be assembled. The top will be white but the inset around the side and back window will be the metallic maroon red of my boat color. With the smoke tinted side and back windows it should look real good.

Those are some great words to live by. Your wiring job looks amazing, it takes so much thinking to get it neat.

Rolled the truck out and got it into the sunlight for the first time in months.

Its got some color now, - the bed is done now, Rhino-lined inside and trim pieces put on, and the tailgate is on too. - waiting for the bed panels being fabricated. The front end parts should be getting done (by me) next week. Suppose to only be in the 90's. The interior is getting a center console with the glove box, cup holders, shifter, and all the GO GO Switches will there instead of in the the dash... and maybe a stereo, AC controls, blah blah blah in the future.
