hahaha i cant stop laughing at how AWESOME those mudflaps are!! I really like that grill too its a nice touch, well done buddy!! i agree about being afraid of transmission guys ive already had 3 bad experiences on 3 bad transmissions in my 10 yrs of driving. my brother in law just finished his 4th n final year of his auto apprenticeship (4th yr is all transmissions pretty well) and we're gonna tackle my 4l80e when it comes time.

Lol, thanks buddy! Yeah trans shops suck horrible! Not any time soon, but when I am I will for sure stop over this time for a cold one, and a ceegar!

I figured as much. Despite having spent $200 on Marquez billet markers I would have gladly left them on the shelf if sgi would have been flexible with this. If I had more time I would have shaved them and put some 4" flushy led lights in but I can't justify prolonging the build, it's been dragging out too long now.

Well guys, I have kinda been MIA for a while again, busy with a bunch of life stuff shall we say, I will get into it later, here is some pics of my DD 05' and a couple of Havoc as she sits. All I do right now is drive her. The las is my view from my desk at work! kinda rocks

So far I have managed to be towed 4 times in 3100 miles. fuel problems, ripped one shock right off the truck when cornering too hard, rear tires are cupped quite nicely!! trans slips bad, did a dyno run (more on that later). been good, hop in her, hit the key. and drive. takes my stress away. I really enjoy her the way she is, kinda hard to take her apart and redo her again.

I hear you there man. I drive mine every chance I get. Its the coolest grocery getter in town. I'd drive it to work if I could, but my job is to cover a territory and I rack up about 45000 miles a year on average, so I use the company car. But I dream of using my truck occassionaly for work and may do just that if the right circumstances happen.

It took me over 2 years to rebuild it and get it back on the road. That was difficult for me. So drive he snot out of it and maybe during one of these long cold winters we have, you'll get to the point when you tell yourself its time to finish her up.

So I got one news! I got a new job starting in a month. I am gonna be working at a potash mine, 1 km ( 3/4mile) under ground as a mine operator. I am stoked. Pay and benefits are awesome. It will be 4 days on, 4 days off, rotating shift. Kinda cool. I can now officially say that I have drilled on top of the earth and underneath it, plus grown crops in it! So cool. This is going to be a life changer, no more looking at cars for me for work, I can totally enjoy them now on my days off! And let's hope maybe save up a little to get a acreage and out of the city!

Rain was in abundance in July an june, way too much, crops got disease, but August and sept have been dry. But cold. A little mud by the lake you could say.

congrats on youre job , hope youre smart enough to listen to the men that are under the ground for a while , from wat i seen on the coal series on discovery its a pretty hazardous job and listening to the experienced people might safe youre life in the long run
make sure you take some extra vitamins and stuff as whell youre used to work in the sun all day and people get more energy out of that than you would think working in artificial light might make you feel different after a while

Glad your excited by it. I wouldn't be. After a few years in submarines I figure I've done my time out of the sunshine. I never really got the impression you were happy with your current job though and that gets hard after a while. Best of luck in the new job.

Now quit dinking around with these camaros and work on a truck or something.

Trust me, I always listen to my seniors, but as far as being like a coal mine, it is nthing like that, completely different actually, much more safer, I would never go underground at a coal mine, those ones do scare me. And I would agree about the lack of sun there. but it would be no different then when I use to drill in the northwest territories when you got zero sun for 6 months!!!!!! that was a killer.

You are right, I was never really happy with that job, hated telling ppl where I worked, I know that things will now be better, me and the wife do have a 5 year goal, In the end I woun't be undergroun. I am gonna take my Power Engineering courses to get my 2nd or 1st class. Then I can get out from underground. How long were you in the navy for, I always thought that would be cool to try.

I did 6 years in the navy. Great experience, but went in never intending to make a career of it. I picked one of the most technical fields they had (nuclear power) and found as many ways as possible to get more schools while in. I went to welding school (emergency nuke piping welder while at sea), HVAC training, machine tools (lathe, milling etc.) quality control training, plus a bunch of other stuff that set me up for a lot of options when I got out.

I operated a 175 MW reactor plant on the boat and now I inspect little cast iron heating boilers.

i think navy would get hard on the wife over time aspecially when they send you to horspots somewhere in the middle of nowhere

its a good thing to study , maibe you should mention it at youre new job sumtimes when there short on qualified staff they help the ones that want to educate themselves in turn for a contract of a couple more years , you might be able to get above ground at the same company

That was smart thinking on your part, I always try to take as many courses as I possible can. I have my Heavyduty mechanics, Welding, Autobody, a ton of insurance courses and a few more also. Pretty cool job u use to have thou.

The navy life would be hard, I could only imagine. I have mentioned it to them my goal, and they liked the idea. said there is always room for movement. Should be good. 5 year goal.
