This is good experience for me either way and I want something I can drive and not worry about and this truck is going to be too nice.

I'll take some pics of the shortbed roller frame when I get the other cab off it. Then I have to decide if I'm bagging it or leaving it as a 4.5/6 static drop. Probably going to set the cab on it and see how it looks and make my mind up. I think my cab needs to be on a bagged truck but also if I am selling it, a static drop might sell better

You have done alot of WORK for a truck you seem to want to sell.
I guess I don't understand.
Usually I can't wait to drive and enjoy.
You seem to be a couple projects down the road already.
Is there something you don't like,... or just wish you had started something else.

I just put this truck on the backburner since I couldn't get "into" the truck build right now.
(too much money invested to try and sell it)
I have since changed direction to a 67-72 truck.

He posted previously that financial obligations/circumstances force the sale of this truck hopefully to net decent monies and allow for a BLAZER build(lol) in the future, as well as 16 other obsesions like the rest of us.

That about sums it up. Hopefully I have done well enough buying quality parts at excellent prices, done as much as I can myself, and got excellent welding/fab work done at very affordable prices which will produce a true show-quality build for a reasonable price. And I might turn a slight profit or at least recoup my investment. I have learned a ton and enjoyed "most" of the project

so all will not be lost if I do sell it and just break even or even lose a bit.

About 1/2 way through I decided I would rather do a blazer as my show vehicle as I have two little ones and a wife that want to go to shows with me. I first thought two vehicles to the show would be okay, but that's a waste of gas and a long time to travel separate from each other. So, my next show vehicle will be a blazer. The bagged lonbged chassis and very nice longbed/cab I have that need a little work will go into a longbed build as soon as the soon-to-be shortbed build is completed and sold. That will be a basic shop-truck without as much attention to detail and me not being as picky with it as I want to use it for things like hauling lumber and mulch, etc. from time to time...

Thanks...looking forward to getting some work projects completed and picking up the rest of the shortbed parts/getting the others sold and shipped so I can get back to the build.

Good luck with your decision either way, Jonathan. You have a great looking projet there. Everything is very nice and great quality. You shouldn't have too much trouble selling it, especially to someone on the board who can see and appreciate all the time/money/thought you have put into it.

Since that frame will hopefully be in Pop's Chop Shop this weekend, had to get the longbed frame buttoned up so we could move it out. So finally got the front end together. It was bittersweet. Finally got it done and it looks great, and now it's going to be put aside.....but I know I will eventually build a truck on that frame.....

First time tires have been on the front of my truck in months...

sorry for the blurry last picture...
I know some of the bolts in the bag brackets are loose. Most of the front end is loose because I am going to blow it apart to get the airlines run for the bags when I get ready to work on putting this truck together...

Cab is 95% done

just need three tiny holes I decided to fill completed and ground down. I'll be staring at the frame for a while while I finish up the shortbed...

No, it's got a 4.5/6 ECE drop on it and I'm going to leave it that way. Since I'm going to sell the truck when completed, I figured going with the most popular static drop is better than bagging it since not everyone will buy a bagged truck.

I understand the need for more seats. I have one child and it is tight in a standard cab truck. The blazer will be fun, I am going a little longer with a suburban. I guess after having a longbed I need to stay with the long wheelbase.

I thought about a burb and may still own one someday. But I really like the "convertible" option of the blazer.

I'm catching up here.

The LB project is officially on hold, the shortie is being put together to be sold. Then a search begins for the Blazer. Right? And you are going to finish the LB when the time comes. To keep? And the Blazer, Right? If so, I like your thinking.
I may would tweek it and have the shortie with your custom cab.

They are 1972 Big block engine perches. They're actually for sale in another thread with all the big block brackets/pulleys....I'm running a 350/350 combo.
