MAN does that ever look good!!! I was thinking of building one for mine butt after seeing how good this looks, I might just have to rethink my plan. I wonder if they come in white? I'll have to go check out that link you posted.

Re: My '59 Apache
Dubie, you're cute! I had also contemplated the notion of building/making a cover. But this was much much better than I'd ever be able to make look good or great in this case. Access to the gas filler is of great importance as well as mine is in the floor of the bed. The link below I hope would guide you to the colors available. Plus maybe down the road, I can change the color scheme by buying another cover! That would be an immediate change in the looks

Re: My '59 Apache
thanks, looking at the site, that is a really good price, would be worth it just to get the frame, etc. to maybe reskin with something a little more solid under the tonneau. Snow and ice here is not kind to the tonneau type. Did you get the one for the 60's and adapt or do they make TF specific?

Re: My '59 Apache
Hey Strider, the axle was already in my truck, but was in desperate need of attention! Dave Chapman which is very close by, he was there for me in my helping him put new parts in the axle. It's nothing special, as it's not a posi, but is serving me well! Check out the blog below

I have a 57 GMC I'm building and have an 85 10 bolt and two 12 bolts but am thinking of going with a 69 camaro 10 bolt I have a line on. Can you measure your rear axle from wheel mount to wheel mount? I'm curious as to how that sizeable 12 bolt tucks in between the fenders. I think my 10 bolt and 12 bolts are too wide, hence the Camaro axle choice if I can acquire it.

Re: My '59 Apache
Strider, I cannot find the measurements in my Historical Documents, I thought for sure I wrote/took pics of the measurements, but I guess not. My truck has been in storage for the past several months due to adding on additional garage space, so my Chevy and Mustang both are not nearby Perhaps some of the good folks on the forum can help. I hope to have my truck back home in a month or so, at least when the car groups start getting together again.
This is the newest addition to my garage with a 12' ceiling. I'll keep my maxjax lift, but now I can get the Chevy truck all the way up on the maxjax! When it is brought back home. This is my old garage, but I gave a facelift by matching the paint to my new garage

Re: My '59 Apache
I like the shop, I've seen those colors somewhere before. I just want to see the red stripe about 18" wide.

Re: My '59 Apache
Thanks Jim, however I can't take credit for the scheme, I googled garage themes and saw this one and liked it. It was an easy paint job. The black stripes that are on top/bottom of the red line is 1" pinstriping tape. There's still plenty to do to get ready for the next project, but have plenty to do on my Mustang and Chevy truck, then onto the '70 Triumph TR6.

Re: My '59 Apache
Glad to see you checked in as well. I have severe garage envy, wished I would have thought a little more about mine when I built it 30 years ago. It literally was 3x what I had ata the time so I thought it was huge. Now its hemmed in with an irrigation ditch and a tree so no room for expansion.
