Dude, this thing looks friggen awesome! Paint turned out great. I agree - go with the black trim.

What is your plan with the tail light bezel? Just asking cause you took a picture and it looks like it may run into top trim?

Looks great, can't wait to see what her new shoes are going to be

Looks like black trim wins, . I am going with full trim. I've still got a few more surprises. Picking the wheels is probably going to be the hardest part.....

No rear a/c. Just going to insulate the heck out of it and hope the Vintage Gen IV unit can keep up with the FL heat. I'm not sure yet. I'll probably have the guy that did the seats do the headliner and carpet.

As for the AccuAir install, I've got the compressor and tank mounted were I want it. No pictures, as I need to pick up some bolts and fittiings tomorrow to get it fully mounted. I did snap these pictures though and I'm totally digging the houndstooth, .

Rob, my question is how much patience do you have? Reason I ask is because one project is a pain and from what I see you three of them going at the same time even though the 68 is driveable?
You are a better man than me I deal with one at a time and I go nuts sometimes.. I am more into SWB but looking at your suburban, I tell you yours looks REALLY good!!!!

Rob, when you get as fair as making upper trim, make sure to take some pics for me. I am wondering how hard it will be to make the upper trim for the 3rd door. Trevor

That's already been taken care of, James at Mar-K is working on that as we speak, errr type, .

I've got the compressor and tank mounted, but I still need a couple of more fittings to finish that part up. I'm installing a schrader valve so I can fill the tank if my compressor ever quits. I'm also going to add a fitting to allow me to attach an air hose. I'm going to figure out where the manifold block goes next.. Here's a few pictures of the progress.

I like the idea of putting in a schrader valve incase the pump stops working. You could carry one of those small air compressors that plug into the cig lighter and fill it up. You would be good to go. I also like the air hose fitting idea too.

Great work Rob!

I finally have the compressor and air tank permanently mounted and all connections sealed. Next will be the manifold and the "brain". I hoped to have more done today, but I got sidetracked by having to replace a pool pump motor, . Anyway, here are a few pictures of the tank/compressor. I also threw the roof rack on to verify fitment. I'm going to send the stanchions to get them rechromed. They are really nice for originals, but with the burb aired out, you'll be staring right at them and I want them to look nice.

Rack looks great on there. Perfect placement too

Is that a moisture trap or descant cartridge? If it's a conventional moisture trap it will only be effective when placed at a location where the air has cooled. Definitely not right off the compressor. In a home/shop system a min of 20' is standard.

...or maybe it's just a filter?

Thanks. I think it's just a filter. The AccuAir instructions say to put it as close to the tank as you can get it.

I guess you can get to them.

Looks like it here.

I just wonder if you can get under there with it aired out and the bumber on. I guess you could jack it up if you had too.
