Re: No Limit's "K-10"

we haven't raced yet , but soon!! I went to nashville to hang out, and we got to see Trent's truck run, it's impressive, and for a first showing at a GoodGuys autocross it did really well. I'll be in pleasanton this weekend, and they'll get to see the HellBoy up close.

Sounds like a great rivalry that will only keep you two and many others motivated to make their trucks even quicker.

Re: No Limit's "K-10"

So, I just got home from Pleasanton Good Guys. Rob seriously through down at this event, even with my skinny butt in the passenger seat. Yea, that's right, I got to go for a joy ride in Hellboy. Twice.

Be jealous.

Rob, always great getting the chance to hang out with you and have some fun. I'm gonna try and get my Canyon ready before the event you're throwing in Del Mar (When is that btw?) and see if I can't run a few steps behind you with my little truck.

Good seeing you guys, and I hope you get the Canyon running soon. Our september event is in riverside at A.M.P., it's a full track day with a shootout autocross. In Del-Mar in November at the GoodGuys show, Chad (BangShift.com) is working with us (No Limit) to put on a "Pub Crawl - Scavenger hunt" on friday night. This will be a fun night - don't miss it

Rob, what gears are you running on the highway when you pull down those fuel eco numbers?

Re: No Limit's "K-10"

Spotted the truck out at the show today, only got to see one run cause I was headed out early... Caught the nice little brake check opposite from the startline. Otherwise the truck looks like it's in great form, charging hard!

Yep - we've been having a bit of trouble with pads lately, it seams that they haze up sometimes, and that can be scary going into the first turn at speed. So, I'm just trying to clean them off before we go.

We had a 3.31 final in the rear, and the trans has a .82 overdrive in 5th. So on the freeway it nets out at 2.71

Re: No Limit's "K-10"

Yes, we did win our class in Pleasanton this weekend, and we made some gains as far as shock tuning. We ran an official lap of 30.616. The really fast crew, Meyier (Mustang), Pozzi (Camaro), and Hobaugh (Camaro) were running in the 29's. Now we're in the Pro class for the rest of the year. Now we need to get it ready to go back east.

Re: No Limit's "K-10"

To us, that side of the Rockies is east. And, if I drive 2500 miles towards the 'E' on the map, I'm in the east.

Re: No Limit's "K-10"

Ha, well that was a smart azz answer! I didn't really get the question - thought you were wondering why I didn't say 'mid west'. Oops, sorry. We're going to head back east for some shows, including Des Moines, Columbus, Indy, and Kansas City Good-Guys, and hopefully add in the LS fest. If your close to any of these, stop by and say hi.

Re: No Limit's "K-10"

Gotta laugh at this one. The other night we went out testing again. Changed the front set up a bit, and we bought a $12 i-phone app thats a gps lap timer. For the first one-hour session, we left the truck alone, and got used to the timer, and focused on driving. During the break, we picked up a time sheet from the pit shack, and our times from the I-phone were right in line. This is a big step, now we can get instant feedback instead of waighting until the session is over to get lap times. Happy happy. In the second session, we started to fine tune things, and record our times. 46.23, 46.11, drop rear pressure, 45.92, 45.88, add 5 clicks front rebound, 45.53, 45.76, add 4 clicks front compression, 45.41, 45.50!!!!! WOW, we've never been that fast. Can't believe it. A guy we run with a lot in a monster miata even commented that he thought I was catching him! Then the time sheets come down from the tower, and they show me at 47's and 48's --- WHAT? After some confussion, I walked up to the tower to find the steward 'playing stroke the camshaft' with his girlfriend. Then he said that he may have missed the inputs a bit. I'll go with my times!!
