Re: 73-87 4x4s
Was an awesome road trip, so great to take old cool rides down the highway, well mine, theirs were on trailers, but the experience of cruising about 700 miles and cruising around the city with a cruise weekend going on was just great, felt like home with all the different hotrods around, like a big family, can't wait till next year.

Re: 73-87 4x4s
I've got a buddy that was messing around with his new camera, that last one was taken real low. Rims were 15x14 but surprisingly didn't stick out too bad.

Re: 73-87 4x4s
some bad *ss thrucks on this thread even tho it is a darn shame to see so much sweet GM sheet metal cut up and beat up, its awesome to them in action bein used & abused as they were meant to be. and the super clean show trucks are just sic ive had my "re-werk in progress" C10 for almost 1yr but a few years ago i had my 1st full size truck--this 78 K10 sb with a 350/350/203 & 4" lift. Never got to do any 'wheelin' with it other than blast it thru some deep puddles when we had some flooding rite after i got it. wish i still had it but had to sell it to pay some bills.

Re: 73-87 4x4s
Thanks a lot, appreciate it, have done a lot more mods the last month, made some time for myself instead of everyone else's projects. Nice to have a truck to use all year round. Snow is never to deep and was 4ft high this last winter. Crazy place to live some days.

Re: 73-87 4x4s
I bought this truck when I was 16 and sold it in 1993. I just bought it back yesterday. Pretty cool to get your first truck back!! Definitely not in the same condition, a frame off restoration will fix that!

Re: 73-87 4x4s
For the record, the letter "C" in front of any chassis designation (10,20,30) means 2-wheel drive. The letter "K" designates 4-wheel drive. This designation goes back to the 60's and continues on today wit the exception being the 87-91 "R & V" body designations!

Re: 73-87 4x4s
Here is mine... I have made some changes to her one piece at a time since I got it in February....
First pic is how it looked when I bought it... Last is how she sits now.. You can't see it in the original pic but it had a poorly fitted black rear bumper at the time.

Re: 73-87 4x4s
Couple more of how it sits now... I know many hate a visor, but I have liked them since I was a kid and finally got one!!
BTW, can anyone suggest good step loops that mount to the frame rather than the rockers?? I would like to add simple, functional steps.. Not full nerfs. I do not want to mount to the rockers for a couple of reasons..
