There are 2 threaded holes already @ the end of the control arm where the OE leaf was secured.

I was planning to add an additional bolt in the area directly under the bag to triangulate the fasteners. The rest of the plate would just rest on top of the 'shoulder' of the a-arm.

Yep plus I have a double headed bolt through the sway bar mount. Since all the weight of the burb is on the bag and that bag is on a plate that contacts most of the arm the bolts are more just to locate the plate and not really support much. All the weight and stress is on the upper bag mount and the lower inner A arm mount.

The bolts maintain the plates 'position' on the a-arm.

No progress but I did pick up a few new toys that will find their way into this build. Also here is a shot of the next customer build that will be rolling in as soon as the AccuAir is all installed in the Tahoe.

We "Got Air" AccuAir to be exact! I have the first part of the system installed and working now I just need to mount and set all the ride height sensor's and this stage will be done until the body comes off. Here are just a few pics because I will be doing a full write up once it is all finished up and working.

But so far I have 8hrs into it start to finish and I was working at a semi relaxed pace. With the tanks empty it was less then 4 min for them to fill and sut off and I am running (2) 3 gal tanks. With the system filled and the vehicle laid out it went to all the way down to all the way up in under 3 seconds and the tanks were filled again in the 2 min.

So right all lines are ran and hooked up but mounting is temporary until the body comes off so I can do it how I want with ease. Also all wiring is temp because their is no vehicle wiring in the Tahoe at this time. Also I have 10" of total lift!!

The leveling sensors pictured. Are those just simple single pole double throw switches from an electrical stand point? Eventually I want to do bags like on LoBuck, and those look like the cats meow for maintaining level.

No their are far from simple but I don't know how to properly explain how they work. They sense through the entire range of motion and will return your vehicle to any of your preset points on command with in about 1/8" every time! Keep a look out for my How-To install on AccuAir and I am sure the owners will chime in with tech info.

Correct me if I'm wrong but they probably measure the difference in resistance(something like a fuel level sending unit) I think you can see them almost like a potential meter.

Looks like a nice set though, Is your engine already in the correct position? Looks like it sits under quite an angle.

Most of those level sensors I've seen are just linear potentiometers. Would be simple to rig something up from Radio Shack. The challenge is that you need a control unit with sensor inputs and firmware to use the signals and act accordingly. Plus I'm sure the sensors in the AccuAir kit are nicely sealed for exposure to the elements.

Right location but the tail shaft needs to come up 2" Right now it is at 6.5* and it will be up at 3* when done. I have some firewall and intake interference that my new English Wheel and Bead roller will help eliminate

Small progress but progress all the same. I made the tabs to hold my front height sensors and tacked them in to make sure everything fit and the through was correct for the sensor travel. See even know my system has about 10" of lift the sensor can only see 2 3/4" during that full range of motion. Now that I know everything clears during full cycling and turning I will pull the brackets off and punch them out to follow the look I have started on all my other brackets.

Thanks kevin, makes sense now, yah that will work no problem, btw, looks great dropped down, but is the front 1/2 inch higher than the rear, may have to do some tinkering yet. Looks great none the less.

Yes the front is a bit higher then the rear because I have a 4x4 under the crossmember because I still need to clearance the top of my spindle. It binds just before laying out and I have not had a chance to pull it apart to mod that yet. Good eye!
