This made me laugh!!!
The truck looks good enough to get out and honor Bob! Enjoy the show this weekend man. Wish I had the means to make it down there for it. But, I will rep my Why-Wear gear here in CO.

Re: Project '86
I REALLY like it. I think the only thing that could mess it up now is the WRONG paint job. I just cant get over the chop... it came out WAY better then I would have thought. Almost cant tell at first sight.

Re: Project '86
Paint won't be anything wild. Maybe a two tone but thats about as crazy as I am planning.

Re: Project '86
Old school Peachy Orange with a Creamy Vanilla type secondary color. Split it like a 50s Vette.
Posted via Mobile Device BTW: the truck looks so complete even just like that. Those wheels are awesome! They really look good with your truck.

Re: Project '86
Thanks again guys! Ratty, I hope the chop came out to your liking
When we sprayed the black, the letters on my tailgate practically dissapeared. So my buddy stripped them out for me. I think it came out real nice. Not the best pic but it's tricky at night... |

Re: Project '86
Ya know .... I was going to mention something of that nature. I think that THIS chop was full tilt for a few reasons & I dug it because of it ....
1. You didn't lay the windscreen back with a crazy angle. 2. You actually fit the doors to the chop & that made the sides very proportionate to the angle. 3. The wheel choice was right on & the last thing that I think made the chop was the front wheel well work. Nice job .... even with the chop top!! Ratty 46 |

Re: Project '86
Thanks, if I had not been so far along in the build when I decided to chop it I would have taken a couple inches out of the bed to get the proportions right on the money.

Re: Project '86
I think you hit the number with what you did. I've see a lot of square trucks chopped & most ruin the cab because of proportions & not tending to other details. They just try the chop.
You've tied a lot into the vehicle with the doors, lowered wells & not to much chop angle. Try the "extras" on the next one. Very good job. Ratty 46 |
