What tuning software are you using? I may have some injector data.

My plan for now is to do some light tuning so I can drive it to have the exhaust installed. Final tuning will be on a dyno by people who know what they are doing!
Small piece of advice, get your exhaust done prior to any tuning.....be there done that!

Looking awesome! So much attention to detail in this build. Really liking how clean the wiring turned out. If I can get mine half as clean I'll be happy.

Re: Mesquite 1966 C10 - LS3 W/Air Ride

Thanks Sig,

I really like this wiring kit, American Autowire 500560, color coding is great and every wire has the function printed right on the wire. There was an issue with the starter solenoid wiring as the instructions weren't as clear as they could have been about the optional neutral safety switch wiring.

I think that's the kit I'm using too. How did you mount it in the cab? Seems like the wires stick out the back too much to mount flush. Almost like there was supposed to be a backside to it or something.

You are correct, there is a back plate that mounts to the upper inner finder bolts. The kit include two new longer bolts:

Re: Mesquite 1966 C10 - LS3 W/Air Ride

Ok she fired right up but had to cut things short because of a 2 power steering issues, a small leak and the power steering lines were jumping around and pump made a funny noise.

Reservoir may have been pulled dry once lines filled up but not sure that was it.

Can I get a plumbing check?

Power steering pump has a #6 and #10 fitting:

From pump #6 to passenger side of hydro boost, exit drivers side of hydro boost to passenger side of power steering gear box, exit power steering box on drivers side and tee into return from hydro boost to #6 side of reservoir, #10 of reservoir to #10 on power steering pump.

Thanks for the help!

Seat is in and headliner is in, hard to get a good picture of the headliner indoors:

Playing with some tuning, just injector data so far. Haven't actually uploaded it yet, trying to get approval from those who know what they are doing first

Was going to attached tune files but uploader says invalid file type?

Re: Mesquite 1966 C10 - LS3 W/Air Ride

Talked to Magnuson and the person actually looked up my order instead of guessing, Injectors are Deatsch Werks 16U-00-0065-8 65lbs, they have data on their site.

Anyone know why the forum won't let me upload .hpt files?

My guess is because .hpt isn't one of the allowed file types. It isn't shown on the upload list.

Thank you for the well-documented and inspiring build! Time for me to get to work. I have a 69 longbed c10 with a 355 and a manual Mid 80's Iroc tranny. I'm going to LS swap it and REALLY want a t56 over an auto. Need all the inspiration I can get, especially with keeping a manual.

Thanks for checking in and the kind words Chuck. This is my 4th build and everyone of them had a manual when done. You just can't beat being in control of those RPM'S!

Look forward to seeing you build, good luck!
