Re: 2wd Blazer and Jimmy's find thread
It's interesting to see some of the ads that people think increase the market price of these, and trucks as well, reposted months or even over a year later.

You're right Bouncy, I just didn't think Craigslist Ads had turned into Pawn Stars, where you ask for the moon and then sell it for $500.

Re: 2wd Blazer and Jimmy's find thread
Somebody needs to buy Ron's blazer. Especially, since there is one for sale that not in a state that's touching the Pacific Ocean!!

Re: 2wd Blazer and Jimmy's find thread
If anyone is looking for a good deal on a project Blazer. Buy these 4 (yes FOUR). http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=478568 I've looked at them and I can say you could get a great deal on all four. I would say the could all be had for around 3k- 3500
If I had the cash, they would already be mine. In fact, if you aren't in the Charlotte area, maybe we can work out a deal that I will pick them up and store them for you until you can pick them up or get them shipped to you. Haha. Perhaps if ya give me the green one . Or you buy them, I'll pick em up, store em, ship you what you want and part out and sell the junk on here. I know the parts will pay for the initial investment. So, in the end, you'll basically have your blazer for free Posted via Mobile Device

Wow... that one in Utah doesn't look bad for the price.
Would need to see some additional pics.

I looked at it about 4 years ago ( different owner I think ) and back then it had some rust in the usual spots but not bad ( from what I can remember ). If I had $2000 to burn I would pick it up. |

Re: 2wd Blazer and Jimmy's find thread
Looks pretty nice from what I can tell , Same owner for the last 20 years. What was it going for on Ebay? Is it worth the 16K he's asking for it being that its a conversion and not an original 2wd?

Was it done using a 4x or 2x chassis?

it's a 4x4 body on a shortened 2wd pickup truck frame.

Re: 2wd Blazer and Jimmy's find thread
I saw the Orange one twice at the Portland swap meet, given it is on a truck frame, something about it seemed odd to me. It might just be the placement of the floor shifter, (seems pretty far to the rear) or something else But I do not recall anything specific about it at the moment. The first time I saw it, it was in primer and a little rough. This past year it was running and driving pretty much how it looks in the pictures. The gentleman was nice to talk to, I even bought a few small parts from him. Wish I could remember more details..

Re: 2wd Blazer and Jimmy's find thread
Thanks for the info guys , I think i may pass on that one. My car builder gave me a shout lastnight and let me know a friend of his here on the coast has an True 72 2wd for sale , it's fully restored and also the same truck that got me interested in the blazers in the first place so Hopefully we can hash out a deal. It has a built 396 BB in it , anyone ever heard of these trucks coming with that engine? I know he has it mated to a late model 700R4 for the overdrive but I cant ever recall seeing one with a 396
