The biggest problem we have is that we will be working on this at night after work so time will be limited as we will be doing bits at a time. Wish you lived near and you would be more than welcome to come hang with us. I am thinking that from beginning to end we should be done in less than two weeks as long as we dont run into any issues.

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild

I didn't cut up my old 72 when I had it and it looked amazing. You can check out a picture of it on the first page of my build thread. You will be very happy. Eventually I will bag my 68 and won't be cutting that one up either just a mild c notch that I currently have.

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild

Well since we are at a stand still untill we receive a ton of parts maybe we should install the interior underdash lights along with new door switches. Let's see maybe tomorrow night, well here goes whats going under the dash.

The only difference with my old 72 is, I was running 255/35/20 on all 4 corners but I had a lot of room in the rear to mount taller tires. It had a cpp c-notch with no lowering blocks and the pumpkin on the rear would actually hit the bottom of the bed when aired out. I still had a couple of inches before the axle tubes would hit the c-notch.

Your truck should like sick with those big ole meats tucked up in the fenders. I can't wait to see it.

Thanks for the heads up. I do have two inch lowering blocks and a cpp notch ready to go in. My main goal is for the diff not to hit the bed then I will be great to go.
I am anxiously anticipating..been a long time waiting to get this done.
