Re: Project "49 No Buck$"
I was looking at the dash pictures. Did I miss it somewhere, where you told how you "latch" the center section? I want to do my dash the same way. Looks like a piano hindge on the bottom just wondered how you keep it closed?
Thanks Ron I found it on page 17 just as soon as I posted this, But You Tube says the video is not avalible?

Re: Project "49 No Buck$"
Hey Kodiak! Not sure why the video got dumped. I had to drill the little holes out in the dash so the nuts that hold the the stainless on the back of the "door" could go through, so it would sit flush. 1 of the nuts was catching on the hole (ding!) so I twisted the door a little so both uppers (right and left side) catch. It's the perfect latch!

Re: Project "49 No Buck$"
I used brads idea for the speaker cover to hide the stereo, but every time I hit a bump the dang thing would pop open. So I epoxied a small magnet in each top corner.

Re: Project "49 No Buck$"
Thanks Brad, I was thinking of using some of those small round velcro pads that stick on to hold it shut. Magnets should work too !

Re: Project "49 No Buck$"
Spent the afternoon at Sage Cheshire Aerospace with Art and Jon while they worked on the Chassis. Jon set up the laser and proceeded to scan every inch of it so he had a complete 3D model of it to use for the CFD and Aero tests! I'm beyond honored and humbled to be involved with a great group of guys who are just as excited about this project as I am!

Re: Project "49 No Buck$"
Mike came over and welded up the seat tubing so that's done
Also made some small flat support plates in the center floor area in the interior. Used .100" chromoly sheet, then cut and bent them up to make them flush with the top plane of the lower tube. With the 1 5/8" outer tubes and 1" cross tubes there was about a 3/8" drop in the middle. With the pads done, the aluminum floor will now be supported and have no droop.

Re: Project "49 No Buck$"
Got my brake and clutch setup installed. I removed the hand brake after realizing my arm restraints would cause a problem. I had to make my pedals to fit the angle of my feet, so I whittled some up out of aluminum and had Mike do his awesome welding to finish them off!

Those are sweet welds! Is your buddy Roger still building shocks? Can't find a web site and would like to look into a set for my C4 suspension.

Re: Project "49 No Buck$"
My my friend Rob had a great idea and name for the group of guys who've been helping with ideas for the Streamliner. I decided to put some shirt artwork together and this is what the first batch will look like. This is the back.
This is the front.
