If you are asking me, 4" springs and slightly longer ORD greasable shackles up front, and I think a 2.5-3" block in the rear. When I get some time I will probably swap out the rear block for a 4" ORD shackle flip.

I was referring to the picture towing our 69 K5 project, but sure I guess she was posing in that pic too
She's done enough hard labor in the last 35 years, she can stand to sit around and look purty. Although I think her hips have been getting wider as the years go on

And thanks!

Yes I was asking you. I love that stance but have been wondering if that would be to tall to be able to haul a gooseneck.

All depends on the gooseneck. I have hauled gooseneck trailers with trucks much taller than that one. Most goosenecks have adjustable necks that you can raise, or it wouldn't take but an afternoon to cut it off, reposition, and reweld it to make it work. Also you can "flip" the trailer axles, but that also makes the trailer itself higher, resulting in a higher platform to load whatever it is you are hauling, and it is more top heavy. A lot of 5th wheel camper guys will go that route, but I wouldn't feel comfortable with that route on a loaded down gooseneck.

Re: 73-87 4x4s

That is true, but the trailer is not mine. The guy that owns it said I can borrow it when ever I need to. And sense my truck is a dually and will have a cummins I figure why not be able to borrow a 36 foot gooseneck. I think I've decided just to lift the front of my truck 2 inches (rear sets 4 inches higher than the front right now) and just run some 33x12.5s I'll need a spacer in the rear but it should look BA

As for the rear, I used to have 1.5" spacers between the duals when I had 285/75R16s.
http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f4...w/DSC01162.jpg
When I put the 315/75R16s on the duals just barely touched, so I went to 2.5" spacers, and moved the 1.5" spacers up front for a wider stance.
With 1.5":

With 2.5":

I don't have a straight on pic with the 2.5" spacers, but it is about the same gap as before with the 1.5" spacers on the 285s.

Oh yea, just added these too, not sure how I like them, but at least the dog that keeps peeing on my tires might think twice

Re: 73-87 4x4s

Where did you happen to buy your spacers from? Im thinking about 285/75r16s so I would have to run spacers with those as well.

Re: 73-87 4x4s

A couple shots of my buddy's '80 we've been workin on. Complete frame-up build. Someday when I have time to kill, I'll do a whole build thread for it. For now though here's the basic details: it's got a 6 inch suspension lift, 35" (for now) BFGs, newer Silverado black leather buckets, Pioneer deck with 2 10s in a custom box we built, speakers also in the doors. Entire interior is rhino lined for durability and noise cancellation. And the best part, we built a 468 BBC, hooked to a 700R4 and a NP205 (I think? cant remember for sure now) aluminum T-case. Still gotta get er dynoed, but rough estimate about 650-700 to the wheels! Roasts those 35's like they aint even there

Nice truck, but with that hp you'll break your 10 bolts your 700r4 and your NP208.

Lol most likely, but when we built it, that's all we had. My buddy actually picked up some 3/4 ton axles recently
