I drug the flatbed off my truck. Now for the chore of putting the pickup bed on it.

Does the after market comfort grip feel flimsey like the aftermarket truck wheels? If not I want one because it looks great.

That's great, now I need two. One for the truck and one for the El Camino. ...

I finally got off my duff and stated getting the 68 ready for the trip to the Nats next weekend. Changed the oil&filter, installed a new speedo cable and took some play out of the shifter linkage.

Hopefully finished the last major job in the engine bay for a while, swapped out the old quadrajet for an Edlebrock AVS2. Can't see it in the picture, but the new air cleaner looks nice anyways haha. Pic of the engine when I first got it included for reference.

Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II

Installed a new fuel pump.... My truck started missing and stumbling amd backfiring at 50/60 mph.. A good buddy suggested it could be the fuel pump. I always thought a fuel pump worked or didn't work but i now know that isnt always the case. The truck has 89000 miles and I think it still had the original fuel pump so today I had a new one installed and it cured the stumbling/missing and the truck is more responsive.

Not unless it takes out the truck. I just found this in mine. It's fuse protected so I'm ok. Melted the loom, electrical tape, and part of the wire shielding but not through.

Oh boy, you just got my attention. I have some questions. First, what brand of brake rotors did you use? Second, what brand of tie rod adjusters are on your truck? And last but not least, what are your plans for the stock parts you took off? If you would like to part with those stock spindles, let me know.
