yes, it`s a straight axle with 6 inch lift blocks.
need to remove them first. and buy some new tires and rims too.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Built a little tray for my cardboard glove box. I was tired of my stuff always sliding aft and then almost spilling out when I opened it up. I'll post pics tomorrow when I finish painting it. I think it'll be gloss black with an "8-350" emblem on the front.

Nothing special, but I'm happy with it.

That's pretty cool - looks right at home in there.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Opened up the garage and got the lawn tractor out. Said hi to the "Cream Sickle", yep that is its name now. A guy on a facebook site for 67-72s named it for me because it is bright white with bright orange racing stripes and a bright orange interior.

Later today I am going over to the garage and do a little paint touch-up. I many even have time to fire up the '75 dually and take it for a drive down back roads.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Replaced my tired 42 year old engine in my 71 GMC with a new 300hp crate engine and headers. And a new radiator since when I drained it the whole drain plug part ripped right out of it.

Very cool idea. I'm going to steal it, if you don't mind.

Other than the one in the picture, I can think of a thousand uses. And the least of them is to not have all the little crap from banging around in the box.

Steal away. It's pretty simple, but I'm glad all the stuff in there will stay put from now on, especially whole chickens.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

dropped off ole dollor at the rear end shop today. they have not found anything wrong with it as of yet, i told them to drive it around untill they hear the noise i am describing to them. i am not sure what it is, and beleive it something in the rear end causing a clump, clump, clump, it only does it once in a while and i have checked everything i know to check...

only does it when slowing down. while driving in stop and go traffic, kinda sounds like a loose wheel , never does it when taking off, driving down the road, will do it only slowing down smooth road, rough road, in gear , in nutrual .

anybody got any ideas on this....
