Re: What did you do to your truck today part II.

Ordered a set of 6 Ross Racing custom pistons for my 292 I6 today. 6 pistons with rings and wrist pins. Specs:

Ross Forged piston

18 CC dish

.40 over

Piston weight 542 grams

These will give me about 9.5.1 compression. Also nice cause they're made for the stock rod length which means I can use stock rods. So..can't wait for them to show up!

took it to the muffler shop and now it is not blowing my ears out in the cab anymore. Sounds good at the back and quiet in the cab.

Well I got my inner and outer rocker panels today . Just waiting to hear back from the Sandblasters on a cost for the cab. Once that has been done I can get on with the welding .

Are those brand new vent windows, or did you rebuild you old ones? If they are new, where did you get them and are you pleased with the quality? I'm considering new vent windows for mine eventually.

Nice looking truck by the way.

They are new $500 for the set. Costly but really nice. Huge difference and worth every penny IMO Came from classic parts.

Thank you for the compliment

Re: What did you do to your truck today part II.

Researched the type of headlights I placed in my 1964 truck, decided they will fall closely in the parameters of the original and be slightly brighter.

Put a coat of white paint on one hubcap to check out the coverage. Decided to put three coats of white or more, until I can get a fairly smooth back ground.

Cleaned some of the rubber seals around the windows with a cleaner restorer. Checked out the engine compartment to see how they will remove the engine Tuesday hopefully. This is what it currently looks like. It's a beauty imho.

Nice to see a good rig from round those parts man. I'm from Bangor/Hartford area and I never saw a rig as clean as that. How much she run ya?
