That Stainless steel is just a piece of 10mm round stainless steel. I made metric M8 threads, nothing special to it Mocked it up with a M8 stud first for the neccesary measurements.

Had a nice day in the Shed

First painted the inner door, first layer of gloss black:



Next took the time to bolt the radiator core in.



Also bolted the two fans in:



This is the right side, as you see. The left side is a bit different, due to make it removable. So I don't have to remove the whole radiator to just get the fans out.



The bracket at the underside is bolted on, the upper is still loose, you can see now how I made it removable. Just unbolt the six bolts, two right and four left, take it 3/4" to the left and it's out

It's got plenty of room!

Nice setup Kees! - Im doing that same type of setup with a crossflow radiator and twin fans. Did you use any rubber between the mounts and the radiator on the top or bottom?

Whose radiator did you use and what size did you end up with? looks great!

PTC, I've got some info for you:
The radiator is an El Cheapo Speedway unit. Crossflow.
Measurements are 26" width in total, core itself is 21" width. Hight is 19" and it's 2" thick. It has no transcooler in it.
I use two 13" fans, automatic, with one fan also manual override when needed.
The fans are a tad too large for this radiator:



The last time I drove it ( Dec 2014...) it was cooling pretty cool

I use rubber between the brackets and the radiator. Top and bottom same style, hope you can see what I did:

Thin rubber on the bracket itself and thick on the radiator, when I bolt the bracket down, it sets the radiator tight...do I say this right??



When bolted down:



I made a few brackets to lead the plugwiring:







Now I have to make the plugwires at the right length...

I've got a question for you all:
Can somebody explain me what this thing is, in the middle of the picture:





Its got a electrical connection, but is/was not connected.
Maybe it has to do with the choke? Or the switch for the TH400 kickdown??
If you know, please explain?

Kees, I am pretty rusty on carburetors though I believe that is an idle kicker for when air conditioning is turned on. The pintle extends, opening the throttle a bit to prevent stalling when ac is turned on.

I really like the plug wire holders. Great idea plus simple and clean. Nice.

Kees, Doug is correct on the part, sometimes it's called an "anti-stall" control. I also like your wire brackets, nice job...Jim

I never thought of that!!
I've deleted that nice part I don't run AC, I have windows to roll down
Now I can use that space to make a little bracket for the TH400 kickdown switch.

Today I made the new plugwires at the right length, installed new rotor and cap, new plugs, everthing new for its new life with me



Also I made the shifterlinkage in working order, fits like a glove!
Only thing I had to do is reweld the shifterlever at 90 degrees:



Bolted down the NOS goodies...or is it the propane mixer...



If all goes according to plan, I can drive on normal petrol or propane without any problems.
Last but not least I hardlined the brakebooster and ignition vacuum.

The propane (or LPG as we call it), is 1/3 of the price of normal gasoline.
At the moment, gasoline cost 1,409 € per litre and propane cost 0,46 € per litre. At today's course: 1,-€ equals 1,08 $ and for your info 1 gallon equals 3,8 litres You do the math yourself
Quite a difference don't you think?
And it burns cleaner than normal gas!!

Small things done today.
First I put the drivers side door in primer.
Then I fitted the gaspedal and made a new throttlecable.
Not really happy with it, but for now it works. Better then the last one...

Put on the new aircleaner, starts to look like a real engine now!



I repositioned the knobs for the inside vents, after that they didn't work as supposed to. So I dissambled the cables, shortened and oiled them, bowed new eyes on and they work like new again!!

It's only a 10" air cleaner. In the near future I will try to make a "normal" 14" air cleaner to fit the propane mixer. I like the look of the bigger air cleaners much better...

The drivers side door got his first layer of black paint today.
I also took the heater out and put some sound deadener at that place.
How far up do you guys put the sound deadener?
I went all the way up....maybe a bit overkill??





I also made this little thing with two LEDs. It's bolted in the middle under the dash, so you have lights at your feet when you get in the truck



Now I am at home drawing electrical wiring diagrams. A man has to do something in this nasty wheater

When I sprayed in my Lizard skin insulation I sprayed everything.
