Does this 327 run or you going through it? and one more question, you sold the 350 out of the truck correct?

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"
i sold a 350 that i had in my storage. and yes the 327 was pulled out of a 67 ss impala because the guy wanted a 383 that was from GM it was a high performance crate engine so the guy took the 327 out but it on a little dolly and put the 383 in his customers car ( the 67 impala) and off the guy went! the 327 only has about 60,000 miles on it and yeah im goin through it

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"
Ok, now I understand. If it's been sitting a while make sure you check the valve guides and change the seals on them at least.

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"
I think you're thinking push rod guides, no the valve guide is the tube in the head that the valve stem goes thru and the spring goes after that. I hope that makes sense been at work since 7:00 this morning, gettin' whooped

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"
yes indeed! althought with the 327.... my flowmasters will be singing a different tune. and for some reason i think tire life is going to diminish more quickly... not sure why

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"
speaking of that I think you need to rethink your cam, I think you need one that talks, not mild performence. Flows were made to talk the lumpity

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"
I agree! But saddly... This engine is going in my so far daily driver and being that's what it is then I do need somewhat good gas mileage... But I can assure you when I get some beater vehicle... The 327 can come out and get some performance shoved it!
