Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Here's a few of my "river truck"
It's an 80 GMC 1 ton camper special that some idiot took the 454 out of.
Here's when i brought it home.....at the time, it made me sick that I actually paid $600 for it.

and the "so far" pics because it'll probably never be done

It sees quite a few miles during the summer so I'm cool with the 15mpg for now, but someday it's going to get it's BBC back.
More pics here if you like:http://www.flickr.com/photos/mickeyk...7623579153920/

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

So I came across a three or nothin deal on some parts trucks, so I took three! The grey one with the 89 burb clip is an 85 half ton, the blue one with the 79 clip is an 86 half ton with 1 ton axles from the white 79 with the 1980 front end which used to be a dually, but now its got half ton axles.. whew! its so confusing! Goin to put the winch bumper off the blue one onto my 90 crewcab, and start piecing together a 73 clip conversion for it.. I organized them from shortest to tallest, also have an 89 burb up on blocks in the garage that couldn't make the picture haha..

Took a chance on this one and paid $1000 for all three.. I had the headers and 33" Toyo mud terrains sold to a buddy for $400 before I even picked up the trucks! So now I'm down to $600 in the hole, but I'll be selling a whole bunch of other goodies on the local classifieds.. Two of the trucks have Edelbrock carbs, shouldn't have trouble finding someone who wants to buy the 89 burb clip and power doors, and I know a guy who will buy trannys and transfer cases off me to rebuild them (all three are 4x4s) so I shouldn't have a problem comming out with more $ than I started with, and still have a bunch of stuff for myself like the winch bumper, recent crate 350, tilt column, pre 1980 clip donor parts for the crewcab, a spare 14bolt diff, MSD distributor, CD player...

1980 GMC C25 Sierra Classic with 19,000 ORIGINAL MILES (31,000Km's) & Matching numbers

The Truck was originally New from Stettler Motors in Stettler, Alberta, Canada and was Built at the Oshawa GM Truck plant in October 1979 (I still have the original yellow paper decal for the fan shroud that say's " Oshawa GM Plant - COMPLETED" with the production run number write down on it, I'm having it reproduced in a vinyl decal). Since New there has been 31,000 Km (OR 19,000 Miles for Our Friends in the USA) It's like a brand new 1980 GMC, (Not One Stone chip on the front of the hood!) minus the fact the original owner removed the hood stripes!

I have All the original: pollution pump, Carb, and Radiator, which I exchanged for performance parts. All that I installed so far is a Edelbrock 600cfm with electric choke and a BE COOL Custom Aluminum Radiator which I fully polished to a mirror shine.
