Re: Post pics of your Longbed Trucks!! No short stuffs allowed!!
Just bought this '69 c20. Trying to decide what direction to head with the rebuild. The engine and most mechanical things have been rebuilt or work, so this will be a good project I can do, yet still drive the truck.
I'm still trying to decide if I should get all new trim, or rip it off and fill in the holes. Trying to decide if I leave it Huckleberry Hound blue, or paint it a different color. I'm not ever going to lower it, and install street wheels. I know that much. This truck will be used for camping and other recreational activities, as well as hauling various things. Re: Post pics of your Longbed Trucks!! No short stuffs allowed!!
heres my long bed....shes a little rough but i plan on doing a few things....i plan on adding disk brakes, a 350/700r4 with a choppy cam and loud exhaust, air bags all the way around so it will sit flat on the ground....steel wheels with white walls and im going to attempt to respray the truck and give it a patina look. if the pass door didnt have the huge dent i would leave the body alone.
shes pretty solid....but she does have some rust...alot better than other 67-72 trucks ive found. the truck had 5 lug running gear but it all was swapped for the 6lug. so i plan on going back to 5 lug for sure |

Re: Post pics of your Longbed Trucks!! No short stuffs allowed!!
Screw them. At least you have a better chance of actually being able to use your truck as a truck by hauling something. You can also lay down in the back (or get busy with your girl), and actually fit

I don't know if its a different setup but I see you can reply are you using the quick reply or post reply button. For pictures use the post reply button then go to manage attachments in that menu. Pretty new here myself so if there is a different better way I don't know about it yet

Re: Post pics of your Longbed Trucks!! No short stuffs allowed!!
Unfortunately, I don't have digital pictures of many of my trucks, cars, tractors, etc. But, while digging around in the "archives", I did find a few pictures of some older vehicles. Since, this is all about longbeds, we'll start with these!
First, a '69 I found in town. Swapped out the original 396 for a 454 and put the truck in new paint. Sold the truck to a young girl and sold the 396 to one of those "numbers matching" folks. Everybody was happy!
