awesome video!
We're going to expect a full series on every project from welding to paint from now on. You've already shown us you can ham it up for the camera!

Thanks Bomp, likewise on the lookout !!
I have already started the premise for 2 more vids, I guess my sense of humor translates to video far better than it does in written words...
Thanks again for all your inspiration !!

Ok Chad... Like I said above, already got the ideas for 2 more lined up. So I guess stay tuned eh?

It is supposed to "warm up" to zero degrees this weekend and snow!
Yay.

Yesterday the shock absorbers I posted about waaaaaay back in July (page 20) arrived. I tried to get them tru a local parts store, and got tired of waiting so as soon as I saw they were offered on Amazon.com I ordered them.

They are Gabriel Load Carriers Part numbers 34036 Front and 43093 Rear for this year half ton trucks. Like I said last summer, we have them on our classic cars and love them.

Here they are unboxed and frosting over because they were so cold !!

Thumbs up Re: Not Another Rebuild Thread....

Hey Sarge. you said from Bomp's build thread:
Quote:
[/hijack on] Yes there is still the Santa Shop, and the 42 foot tall Santa, and all the streets named as you would expect. I am hoping Santa will not mind being a key part in the Christmas Special video I have planned; so stay tuned !! [\hijack off]

I had to come over and see what all the excitement is about! I had to subscribe and now I know my day will be pretty much gone by going back and reading through the whole thing! The videos are absolutely killer!

I'm dropping you a PM.

Thanks for serving our country!

It is certainly a learning experience up here.
I hope to be done learning... up here .... so I can leave and never come back. Though I know I will never complain about the cold, long winters, or endless night ever again !!

Re: Not Another Rebuild Thread....

[rant on] If it were up to me, there would be a task force with clear access across all international borders and their sole purpose in life would be the tracking down of people who write malicious code for computers.

They would then surgically remove both of that persons hands, sew the stumps together, and blind them in one eye as a warning for any future infractions.

That crap is criminal on the same level as jacking a car IMO.

And if you attempt to jack my car, well .... there are 11 rounds of 9mm just dying to meet you. [rant off]

Sorry for that, but 2 of my computers are infected with junk right now, one is an ad browser, and the other has the fake FBI bullsssssssshhhhhhhttttt on it.
It is so tedious to go in and remove that crap manually.

Dont these gomers know I have better things to do with my time??

Yep, I agree

I just don't understand the mentality of a person having a sole goal in life to screw with as many peoples computers as possible.

Anyway back to the build at hand..............here is a pic of that '63-'65 trans crossmember that I have. However since yesterday, I rea;ized that your truck is a '66, so you should not need the crossmember with the e-brake brackets. You just need a '66 and up crossmember. That is unless you are planning on using the '63-'65 e-brake assembly.

Please excuse the grunge on the crossmember....didn't have time to clean it up.

You are to kind.
I would tie a rope around one of those hackers ankle and the other end on a bumper of one of these fine trucks. Then at exactly 3 miles per hour just drive and drive and drive. Non stop.
Drive for the next 6600 miles or so. If they make it then their free to go.
I lost a computer a few years back to an email zip file.
Now I'm all fired up. Out to the shop to smash something I go.
Peace Brother.

Thanks for the photo! From the dash to the firewall I am using the 1985 E-brake pedal and assembly, and so far that cable is still attached. From there it reverts back to the original 1966 set up, though I will have to mod and/or replace parts of that set up as the main cable is broken.

As far as a crossmember goes, I may just order one I saw in my Brothers Catalog. They have a sale going on right now.

Yeah they really piss me off.
Worse yet is the computer with the FBI virus on it is the one I pretty much only use to lurk this board, and shop Craigslist; so I really dont know where I could have picked it up at.....

Sometimes I have to succumb and put one of mine in the shop too.
Matter of fact I have two that are waiting to go, as their problems are beyond my skill set.

I use Cyberlink PowerDirector, it is an easy interface to work with, and I dont have to pre-convert any files. I can load a clip that was shot in WMP from windows, another that was shot in Quicktime MOV format, and load up music files that are just as varied; compile my presentation and the program will render it all together in what ever format I desire.
I usually render my end products as MPEG. The standard program comes with way more features than I will ever use so for a hack like me it is purely good enough.
After all I am just trying to share an idea, not shooting an episode of Star Wars.....

Any more questions you may have please feel free to ask, I like being mildly useful !!
