At one point, I had my '68 C/10 Stepside, '67 K/10 Suburban, and '71 GMC K/1500 Jimmy all running at the same time. Around 1995 -98. Gas and insurance were killing me. Had to remember to run each one a couple of times a week, to keep the circulation going. Then the Jimmy blew the PO's engine. The Sub had an engine fire in '98 and I parked it. We re-engined the Jimmy in '99. The Stepside needed an engine change in 2002. It was back on the road in 2005. I've since found collector car insurance is a lot cheaper than the regular policy. Also with vintage plates, the trucks can skip the annual Emissions testing.

Re: Did I missFront end Friday
I love this picture. Inspiration for me to someday get my 68 out of primer and back to its original glory.

Replaced the clutch in the '35 last week. Took this picture after a drive to town.

Re: Did I missFront end Friday
Got more snow last night? Tuesday I drove from Reno to Dillon, Wednesday Dillon to Great Falls to drop off a conx for a job, wanted to make it back to Pocatello, Id. but it started snowing 20 minutes out of Dillon. I only made it back to Dillon, 10 hours. Woke up Thursday at 2:00 am to 6" to 8" inches of snow. Didn't get back to Reno til 3:00 pm. No fun.

Re: Did I missFront end Friday
TGIF, Brothers...
[Cellphone photo] Funny, I drove this truck to the movie theater to see the original ''Star Wars'' [One then, now revised to # IV] first run. Had to trim about 2'' off the bottom of the sunscreen to fit my vintage cab. Leaning hard on the RH West Coast Jr mirror.
