wow someone likes to do smoke shows or drives like a race car driver, I sure hope the ones I get last wayyyyy longer than that!

Well more like a race car driver. I didn't do "burn outs" nor was I doing any drifting. The problem is, that they are so soft, they don't "squeal". So, you don't know how much you are spinning. Apparently, every time I was shifting, boost was kicking in, and the wheels would spin. I would speed shift and when I would park, I would have black flakes (kinda like eraser flakes) all over my fenders and wheel wells.

Hopefully, the Continentals will "squeal" a little more, and I can adjust my heavy foot a little better. LOL

Well, tires that hard (540 treadwear) should squeal plenty. I like mine a little softer and stickier. (And you pervs know what I'm talking about, so save the jokes!)

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**

***New update**. I talked with Marcus from American Eagle today. He called me and said my 18" wheels were on their way to me. I talked with him a little bit. I asked him about the version -2 and the -3. He said that he didn't think they were going to do the -3 on the 18s, just on the 20s.

I am ok with getting -2 version of the 18s. I really didn't want to wait for another year for them to get -3 version done if they ever started to begin with.
So, you guys should not hold your breath waiting on the 18s.

I want to thank everyone that helped get the "Group Buy" together, and giving me the opportunity to buy these awesome looking wheels at such a good price!!!!!

Hey guys, They had overstock on some 18x8 CHROME 5x5 wheels. I've got two sets available for $700/set plus shipping. That's $170 off normal price!

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**

Wooohooo! got my wheels!
Now, I didn't wait for the -3-AA.
So, until I grind the rotor, how thick a spacer do I need?
Or, do I need to do a spacer and grind on the rotor?

Thx

From what I've read and seen, a 1/4" spacer should do it, no grinding required. I've got a brand-new pair I've decided not to use (gonna grind instead). Send me a PM if you want them for what I paid ($18 + S&H).

PM sent. Sounds good. Until I can get a good machine grind. Don't want to get it off balance. Or, any other screw up on brand new rotors.

Question Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**

I thought I was waiting for the -3AA's, but when my wheels came this week they were all -2AA's... 18x8's/18x9.5's. I tried fitting my new zinc plated, cross drilled and slotted rotors in the wheels and it's not even close.

They don't think they will do the -3's in the 18" that's why I had them send -2. Even the new -3 revision doesn't clear the hub bore on the 1.25's so it's there really isn't any reason to wait. Sorry...

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**

It's all good, you are right, if the 3AA's don't fit anyway, I'd still be making a trip to the machine shop. No problems with that, the deal you gave us left money in the 'budget' for stuff like that! Thanks again.
