Gauge panel is in place and plugged in... with whole dash wrapped. The lower had to be removed in the end because glue doesn't hold it, it has to be fitted and stitched together to make it right.  Shifter console is wrapped and in place, just need to add the acrylic pieces and put some switches in them. There is a second glove box console that goes between the seats when they go back in place. But the console wouldnt fit in 1 piece.

Ya don't cut to many corners just because you want to drive it and plan to rebuild in a few years. You may end up fixing it all anyways or the rebuild can't happen because of something. Looks good tho.

Got all the gauges hooked up to the engine now and the switches are all installed to their plug-in at the console. Rang it all out and now Ready to connect battery power and do a test to all the circuits and see if it all works like it is suppose to .... or smokes!!!!!!

You said in one of your replys that this is not a show vehicle, really? you've got a great looking truck and should be proud as hell to show it, drive it and just stare at it. Where did you get a front grill like that? very cool. I really like that front valance as well Keep up the good work

Thanks guys - all of ya'all for the great comments...
I say its no show vehicle only because the body isnt perfect and it is not going to ever be - its original with a some of its minor imperfections still there. My original idea was to just have an "Old Truck" look on the outer skin... sitting on an all new bad ass chassis!!!! and that's all its gonna be. You'll be able to park it on the side of the road and in the dirt and sit on the fenders and the tailgate and set your beer or soda on it and not worry about it. That's the way I want my "old truck"... But when you lift the lid or crawl underneath... the muscle comes to life in any motor-heads mind! The interior will be comfortable and support the mechanical systems installed and also have the safety features required for this kind of machine. It stops as fast as it goes and will be SAFE above all else. The color is staying satin white... just as you see it, no chrome, no shine, just stainless steel, brushed alum or anything without a reflection. The grill badge will be the only thing on the whole truck, no other emblems. The grill is home-made using the trucks original '57 grill and cutting it up and a 57 Bel-Air light bar I picked up at a Good Guys swap meet. Had to cut it up too and braze it back together being potmetal. Its all painted with a stainless colored paint. Its come a long way from its origin.... a 1957 Chevrolet 3600 Long Bed truck. Originally built in the Oakland, CA plant and purchased in Oakland, CA - It spent its entire life in Acampo, CA at a vineyard where it was used by the family for 5 decades before becoming a barn sitter for about 8 years. I purchased it from the original owner's wife and son. Once its on the road we are doing a whole video of everything of its past with the original owners and up to today's truck... should be alot of fun. Thats my only deadline is to get it done so she could see it before she left this earth. She wanted a ride!
