I did manage to find a nice set of rims I would get if I end up doing that....*posted below* Or I would just powdercoat, like you said, the rims I have! I'm a huge fan of the Outlaw I American Racing rims... i don't have to deal with breakdust! And as for the Whitewalls.. I'm not sure i'd ever go with them... I like meaty tires *mine are 33 in the back and 31 in the front 15's all around....they don't make them that big that i can find... :/

THanks for the comment either way

Well there is one way I know to get big fat white walls. You can make them as long as the tire has white letters.

Oh yea!!! I forgot about this, I've seen this before on youtube! I was actually pretty pumped about doing something like this once, but when I bought my Nitto Dune Grapplers recently... they have no white lettering... But besides that, they had the flames on the side which was the whole point behind getting them! That was to make up for boring tires. I'll search around craigslist and maybe give this a go with a tester set! Thanks for the vid post!

Girl, that is truly a one of a kind ride. I like it ALOT. I dislike the flames on the wheel/dash, but I think everything else is awesome. Going for an almost 50s gasser look, I would love to see that truck with some wide white walls and maybe Cragar SS or chrome reverse wheels. Too cool.

I completely agree with you on the dash bit!!! I plan on ripping it all out and doing an entire billet or diamond plate sheet, box style molded around, and have black gauges to replace it all! Then the same for the door panels, a sheet of metal and the door handle and switches is all thats seen. No more plastic!

No problem! Thanks again everyone for all the comments by the way! As for the stereo, I was new to wiring so my Dad supervised! lol, This picture was taken a long while ago *you can tell the seats and inside weren't changed out yet*, but its still looks the exact same! And works as good as ever!!!! 10'S were all I needed! I'm sure most people driving around me wouldn't be happy to listen to my Country, Rock, or Oldies blasting if I had any bigger!!! lol

P.s. sorry for the crappy picture of me, it was pretty hot outside that day! lol

RRG I agree with you on the wheel choice ( Wheel Vintiques? ) FOR A LOWERED TRUCK. They wouldn't look right on a stock or lifted Truck. The Truck looks good though.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Trucks

It's been a while since I've visited the forums here, so I figured I'd post some pics of my fleet.

My most recent purchase is a '98 Suburban I picked up at the end of January. My family is growing by 1 this summer and with 2 boys already, a Cadillac CTS and an extended cab pickup just aren't going to cut it for hauling the family in comfort. It was time to supersize the ride. 3 rows were a requirement, but money being tight, a newer model Suburban or Tahoe was out of the question. That left me looking at the GMT-400s (not like I'm complaning) and for 3 rows, that meant Suburban. I found this one for a deal at one of the local dealerships I do work for. It was traded in by an older couple who had purchased it from the same dealership. It had been parked for nearly 2 years. I'm still working out some of the maintenance issues, but for the most part it's very solid and very clean.

When I first brought it home:

Pewter with a blue interior. That's a new one on me.

I have done a few things since then:
Removed luggage rack.
Removed VentShades.
Removed fender lip trim.
Removed front bumper rub strip.
Window tint.
The headlights and taillights I took off of my '94 GMC. Anzo LED taillights and TYC Elegante headlights and parking lights. I have 4500K HIDs and a hi-4 conversion as well.
The biggest change, obviously, is the suspension. I installed a pair of 2" BellTech shackles on the rear and some 2" Hotchkis coils on the front. While I was at it I installed some Energy Suspension swaybar bushings and endlinks. The truck sat 1/2" high in the rear stock. Well, the shackles gave me 1 1/2" of drop and the coils gave me 3" of drop, so I ended up with 2" of rake. Next up will be a set of hangers to level it out.

I've still got quite a few plans for the future, not the least of which are a GMC grille and new rear bumper.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Trucks

This is my '94 GMC. It was purchased new by my parents in January of '94. I had been driving it and working on it for the last year or so while I needed a second driver in my household. Since I bought the Suburban, I've pretty much given custody of it back to my parents. But, since they live 2 doors down from me, I have access to it anytime I need and still lay some claim to it.

While I had the truck, I removed a lot of the stick-on/bolt-on crap that my parents had installed. I had installed the TYC Elegante front lights and Anzo LED taillights that are now on my Suburban. I also updated the mirrors, went with the later smooth center caps and blacked out the chrome strip on the side molding.

I remember seeing your blue truck a long time ago. It was killer then, and still is now. The other two are nice as well, and I'm with you, never seen the pewter over blue before.
