Re: SoCal checkin' in

Hey SoCal! Every Feb, May, Aug, and Nov, I organize a Legend's Meet in Upland CA.
I thought it would be nice to take these meets on the road this year.
For May, I thought we could all meet in the SF Valley. Anyone from the Valley know a good restaurant or meeting place with ample parking and good food? Let me know, I'd like to start getting a flyer made.
In August I'd like to have a meet in Downey, close for the LA guys.
In November, the OC maybe somewhere in Anaheim or Santa Ana.

If this is not a good idea, then we can go back to just meeting @ Legends in Upland.

Sure its a good idea. That way maybe guys can go to meets that are near their homes. And other members get a chance to host the meets.

I could help with the OC event. There's a place in Downtown Santa Ana that might be fun... I'm blanking on the name.

We could always go to Fuddruckers down by me (Lake Forest) They routinely have car events.

I would show up at any event that has a show close by my house.

A C-10 event like I am doing at Cruising Grand in Escondido just means we will have special parking for just the C-10s but there is lots of parking all over the place. Just not reserved.

Bob’s in Burbank would be great since they have other meets there and are used to it. I’ve been really busy with family stuff and haven’t been able to do anything since Thanksgiving!! A meet would be really a good thing about now.

Is this the right Bob's (4211 W Riverside Dr, Burbank, CA 91505)? How's Sunday May 20th sound to the Valley guys?

SoCal 2012 Schedule.

Look's like;

Sunday May 20 at Bob's Big Boy (4211 W Riverside Dr, Burbank, CA 91505).

Sunday August 19 at Bob's Big Boy (at 7447 Firestone Blvd, Downey, CA 90241).

Friday September 14 - Cruisin' Grand in Escondido: Thanx to Schwinn for settin' this one up!

Sunday November 18 - ????
This sounds alot better than having the meets in the same place all the time, plus I need to get out more! Any more suggestions would be great, also make sure there's nothing major happening on the dates I chose.

Thanx
Dano

Sunday November 18 - OC meet ??? somewhere in the center of the OC, Santa Ana? Maybe DaBigKahuna could scout out a location?

I'll scout a place.

I have at least 3 places in mind. All of them would be kool! In order of preference;

Original Mikes in downtown Santa Ana... You can't get more downtown than 1st and Main St. Th building housed one of the first auto dealerships in Orange County. I first remember the building as the garage for the SAPD.
Only down side of this location is it's not close to any freeway.

Nick's Burgers in Fullerton. I've been going to car cruises here since the early 80s when it was called Scooter's. It's right across the street from the former Rite-aid where the CPP cruise started from. Brookhurst and Orangethorpe.

Fuddruckers in Lake Forest. They're famous for their weekly Tuesday night cruises and also host several other car events on weekends. They are located a couple of blocks north of the 5 on El Toro.

Any feedback?

I kinda like the first two, I heard good things about the food! Since you're the designated OC guy, I'd say whichever has the best parking situation. I don't mind a place of the beaten track as long as the eatin' is good!
