Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Burbans!
Just drug my '72 Suburban project home and cleaned it up a bit. Original 400 v8/auto, ps, power disc brakes, tilt, full gauges with tach, front and rear a/c. Needs the usual rocker, lower door, and lower quarter panel patch panels, but other than that it's in pretty good shape for one that's been sitting up in Louisiana for 18 years. Plans are for drop spindles in front coupled with lowering springs front and rear, with some bags in the rear to bring the ride height back up when towing my '65 Airstream. This is my first build of this era Chevy and I'm really looking forward to it. Here's some pics!

Classicfins - thanks for bringing one back from the dead - I jumped in with mine in good shape and running - I think you deserve a special honor for rescuing a burb.

I've kinda been out of the car hobby for about 10 years now so I'm excited to finally get into a new project. This is the setup I tow regularly behind my off topic '04 GMC. We get a lot of looks and comments as it is, so pulling into a campground with the 'burb in front should really be a blast. I'm glad I found this site. There is really some great info here. I can't wait to get started. |

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Burbans!
I've always wanted to pull a vintage Airstream behind my 68 burb!
Your trailer looks awesome! You are right, your burb will be a perfect match for your trailer and boat. Good going at rescuing the burb, since so many are going the way of the scrap heap. Even here in SoCal they are far and few between. Hang out here on the various sections of the forum for a while, and your confidence to dig into restoring her will grow. I know it helped me in many ways to get mine to finally come out of the garage completed.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Burbans!
Had to jump in here.
My 1972 K20 GMC that I use to pull my 76' 31' AS (when we want to look as if we are 35 years late to the campground). Not as comfortable as the 2010 K1500 burb but lots of fun. Not the best pics..but all I could grab on short notice |

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Burbans!
Classic look - that is what I ultimately want to do with my burb! I also have a friend with a 62 Impala that is setting it up to be a strip car - he was hoping we could use my burb to haul to the dragstrip - I think the trailer is a better eye catcher!

I like it - it actually looks pretty cool all rough looking. Also the Econoline next to it brings back memories of my '66 (drove to NY in it from CA in 1993 and I was like an ALIEN). |

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Burbans!
I wish. No, it's just a nice pic I found. I would love to own one someday, just got too many irons in the fire right now. Maybe someone would trade for an 02 4wd Burb with 330,000kms on it..? haha jk, I wouldn't want to rip anybody off.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Burbans!
eyebuzz - that's my 66 econo supervan next to it in the pics. Its an all original survivor right down to the hubcaps! I use it as my daily driver putting on about 15-18000 miles a year. it has some rust starting so i bought the burb to use while the van is getting redone
sorry not trying to hijack

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Burbans!
After 13 years without a project I just bought a 72 Suburban from Arizona. The body is virtually rust free with only 2 dings (rear corner and hood).

13 years ago I took a 72 Ambulance and returned it stock. ESPN put it on TV for 8 minutes at Super Chevy in Memphis. I sure wish I had this one back.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Burbans!
Here is my daily driver. Got it in the early 90's. Has been painted three times, (once due to a head on collision). Was white, then blue, now red.
Has 211 thousand miles with the original motor and trans. |

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Burbans!
this is mine. it's a 67 clone, actually a 72. it was redone in 1998 but has been in storage most of the time since then. i just bought it in october. i'm totally stoked about it and can't wait to have some fun with it.
