Back in the sixties, I rode out of the log woods many times in an old Mack with three sticks. I never did figure out how the driver knew which gear he needed next. It was quite a treat to watch though. Sometimes we would be a mile or more off the beaten path so he got lots of practice.

3 High. Plus a little extra.
I used to carry 3 High all the time on my Flat Beds. I very rarely ever see 3 High anymore. I would finish off at about 13-2 to 13-4 on the road. Cool looking truck.
