I like big billet rims but with the look of your truck I think that the wide whites and painted rims look right at home. I say don't mess with a good thing.

I hear u guys loud and clear ,my truck is missing the apron between the grill and front bumper .How do they mount ? And where do u recommend I can find a nice patina'd one ? Thanks for the comments and help .

I know what you mean about winter....I only put 150 miles on my truck this summer after the long 10 yr build. I keep going out in the garage to hang out with it....ha ha. I still need to finish my interior so that's my excuse.

they give the illusion that the tires are narrower than they really are.Also if the stance and the wheel centers are off they will look farther than it really is. If you aren't carefull it will look like a big hot wheels.


on the other hand when done well {look at youngrodder's} the lack of over polished parts dosen't draw your eye away from the rest of the truck.

to search on ebay, just type in the year and make, like 1951 GMC truck. If that is not the only year, use a range like 1951-1954
