Re: My 68 swb build.
Or you could do like I plan on doing and cutting both end off and putting Deutsch connectors on. Be better and more reliable than the factory one and personally I think they look way cooler.

Re: My 68 swb build.
Is there any particular reason u want a NSS? You don't HAVE to have one unless you plan on racing it at Baytown or Sealy. An every time iv been to Sealy they never checked NSS. Just my thinking out loud. Ron Francis makes a transmission mounted one that summit sells for about 65 dollars. Or are u wondering if the column already has it built in?

Re: My 68 swb build.
I kno u kno this already but if u get new bedsides make sure they are factory. My damn Goodmark fleet side bedsides that Roger sold me don't fit worth a damn and they made front lower corner of drivers side TOO LONG so it hits cab and now I have to go and pie slice it to make that brand new bedside fit

Re: My 68 swb build.
So you got it to fit or no? It's hard to see in the pics. It's looking pretty correct from what I can see. And where is the stake pocket messed up? Can it be cut out and patch welded?

Re: My 68 swb build.
it was a late start tonight, but i did manage to get two things done tonight.
1. got the pins for the brake booster and pedal linkage cut and installed, only thing left is to put a cotter pins in....will get that from work tomorrow.. 2. did yall know that there are 14 nuts on each of the trim rings?? lol that was a pain, too many angles to get in there...got the inner grille riveted in with aluminum rivets and the grille hoops installed. Also got the bowtie in...

Re: My 68 swb build.
this is totally random, but i was doing a 50% water change on m small 36 gal fish tank (its britts and she likes the moors, i hate them goldfish....and its a goldfish) and this was epic....
i had to watch him swim as fast as he could to keep from getting sucked up.... Heres my bigger tank if anyone is interested..

Re: My 68 swb build.
Cool! On both! Good progress on the truck man. And I'm a fish person myself. We got a 36 gallon corner tank with freshwater tropical semi-agressive fish.

the 36 gal bowfront has 2 moors, 2 frogs, and a few other tetras... anyways, back to the truck. i hope to get a few things done after work today, but we'll see...i still have drivers brake line to do and secure them to the frame and bleed them...i tried to do vent lines for the tank and my tubing bender wont do a complete loop...so round two on that one...i did get the booster hose but not installed yet...and the last thing i did was start on changing the power steering lines...theyre not the right year hoses... thats all the update i have for now...i will post pics when the column arrives, should be today or tomorrow..

Re: My 68 swb build.
Here is what i got done tonight, not much but its progress i guess...
i copied bruces vent lines for the tank...except i used stainless...that crap is hard to bend...only thing is i ran out of line to finish the vent the same way he did hidden in the passenger fender well.. got the pins in with clips...hope this is good enough, i even closed them slightly more than normal for tension..

The column looks great. I might have to get me one.
Have you looked it over to see if a stock NSS can be fit to it?

Re: My 68 swb build.
theres no place for a nss, so im still pondering cutting the column to add one...i think the diameter of the shaft is the same size so it might not be a problem, but just the thought of cutting up a new column disgusts me slightly...the only real reason i want the nss is for reverse lights..
