Re: Vintage picture thread
Here I am at 6 with my Grandpa's 1970 GMC and one of our ranch helpers. 44 years later and I just brought the truck home to get her going again. Past and present.

Re: Vintage picture thread
That's really cool to see. Sometimes it's hard to imagine that these old trucks had a whole lifetime of use before they ended up with you if you don't know their history. That's the case with my truck.

Re: Vintage picture thread
Love the truck and the story nrpolo! I don’t have a vintage pic of my truck but I do have some of its history. I was really lucky to find a bunch of paperwork in my truck. The used car lot I bought it off of didn’t bother to clean it out (or clean it at all for that matter). It was originally ordered by Terminex of San Francisco after it’s duty with them was complete it was sold to a guy who lived on the peninsula. The police report was still in it showing it was stolen and recovered in the early 80s. The ignition is still all bent up from this experience. The owner before me had local resteraunts and used the truck for picking up ingredients at farmers markets and light construction. Not as cool as growing up with it but neat to be able to tie some of the history to it.

Re: Vintage picture thread
Found these on my Grand Father's slides. Most are in Mexico where my Dad, Uncles and Pappy traveled to frequently.....1973-1976. Fairly safe in those days! Dad's truck is a 1972 K10 shorty with a 4 speed. I still have it and will start restoring it soon.

Re: Vintage picture thread
He did indeed.....some pos stole that winch from him in the mid 80's when he had it parked at his place of work for a few days. Unfortunately that bumper met it's demise against two elk one year as well....I'd like to replace both at some point.

Re: Vintage picture thread
I've got tons more that I've swiped from the internet over the years. I'll weed out the ones that fit in this thread and post them up. Glad you guys liked them.

Re: Vintage picture thread
Here are a couple. The '63 Grand Prix was my mother's. I put a lot of miles on it as a 19 and 20 year old. The picture of our truck, camper and dog and was taken in 1975.

Re: Vintage picture thread
And another. Circa 1975. The truck must have belonged to a friend of the neighbor across the street. I don't recall who owned the car or even what it is. Packard?

Re: Vintage picture thread
Patch, looks like the truck runs 16" tires. Nice option on a Custom Deluxe SWB.
Cool ladder rack on that Blazer Quote:
