Re: K20/K30's only! Pics please :)

Thanks guy. It has some nice options on the spid.

I really want to get some Cheyenne 20 and 350
emblems on her. I think it looks naked without it.

When the PO had the body work done before paint, he had all the trim and emblem holes welded and sanded flush. I’ll have to use some emblem adhesive tape to mount them.

Re: K20/K30's only! Pics please :)

Just purchased another K20 this week, going on Sunday to drag it back to the stable. This is the best picture I have for now out of all the one supplied by the seller. I will post up a bunch more when I get back home Sunday afternoon.

Re: K20/K30's only! Pics please :)

Here's my friend's '69 Custom/30. Ok, it's not actually a K/30, but it's very well put together as if it was factory-built. In fact, it's not exactly an original K/20. He took a munged up '69 K/20 with some funky creation of a steel flatbed/wrecker kinda sorta body and used the frame, went through the drivetrain, and set a '69 C/10 body on it. The HO52 is rebuilt w/locker, the Rockwell T221 is all rebuilt using good used parts, and a Dana60 all rebuilt up front (w/early Spicer hubs). He built a nice 350 for it, has a N.O.S. Warn winch bumper for it and a winch (I forget what), and rear fuel tank. He replaced a rocker and painted it to not stand out as new. It has a new bed floor. Just a really cool well though out/well built inconspicuous old reliable cool bean truck to DRIVE! He's got a lot of $ in it that most people won't see. I bet he gets offers to buy for cheap. But it's not for sale. His other '72 K/20 (my old Highlander) will be too nice to use like a truck... much

This picture was last spring. I'll be over there before long for more pictures. But I don't think he's done anything all summer. He said he hadn't two weeks ago

Re: K20/K30's only! Pics please :)

Here's my 67 I bought a few months back from a friend of mine.

It's mostly rust free, only spots are the cab corners and the front right fender under the battery tray. It had a '70 cab and fenders put on it somewhere in the early 2000s which is why it doesn't have the small window, also why the fenders don't match the hood. All this truck was lacking to be road worthy was an engine and some brake work. I completed the brake rebuild last month and I just got the motor in the other day. I drove her around the block and I was very happy with how well this truck ran.
The motor is a rebuilt 99 suburban motor (vortec 350) that I picked up for 400 bucks. It was rebuilt and put into an airboat for a short time (only has 10-15 hours on this engine)
Aside from swapping the front axle and putting a fleetside bed on this truck (which are both going to happen eventually)
what else should I consider doing to her? I want to cruise thing thing around and take it to car shows, meets, etc... its not going to be a looker...but I want it to be reliable and fun.

Nice truck, original ribbed heater hoses and tower clamps. I suspect the oil filler cap could have been painted at the factory....
To bad someone out on those horrible mirrors.

Is that the one I saw at Chevyland? If it is , it wasn't perfect but it was one I would be proud to own and drive. We all know I love mine and it's ugly.....
