I was wondering about that cheese, too. Never seen it before. Clever name.

The guy told me that there is not enough milk from the cows to supply the needs for the cheeses any more and they have to import milk form other places in the state to keep up with demands to sell their products.. In Tillamonk or near it is a big big wheel borrow a guy made that had two wrecked cars in the tub of it for all to see when driving by,, it had what looked like light poles for handel bars and the wheel for it was around 10 feet tall.. Also a large Blimp garage is there in Tillamonk that housed Blimps in world war 2 and then later a whole sawmill was running inside the building ,,it is still there I believe ..

I lived across the highway from the blimp hangers, You could see when the big door opened but far enough away not to see inside. That was in 4th grade. Now 50.
I like Tillamook PepperJack Cheese. Had some yesterday. |

Re: My Facetruck thread.
I tried to google Tillamoo and it did not work, so I was wondering what was up. We always buy the 5lb brick!
We're down there all the time. Uncle Maury and Uncle Kenny still live there. And we go camping at Cape Lookout State Park and Nehalem Bay State Park. The Tillamook Cheese Factory ice cream stop is a must! Spend a lot of time wheelin, hiking and hunting in the Tillamook State Forest as well... Here is a pic of a 500 plus year old stump I found Elk Hunting one year. 43 feet in circumference without the bark, over 9 feet in diameter. I think this burned in the 1933 Tillamook burn! |

Re: My Facetruck thread.
This has become an interesting thread talking about Tillamook cheese. I don't know that I've ever seen it available down here in the South. I'm going to have to go find some just to try it out. I'm sure I won't be disappointed. I really love pepper jack anyway.
EDIT: I just googled Tillamook Cheese and found where I can order it online. WOW! What did we ever do before the internet?

Re: My Facetruck thread.
We have Tillamook here. I never realized where it came from. My favorite brand, for everyday cheese goes is Kerrigold. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...5ndFGsBJzrkCVU It's not expensive either

Kerrigold butter is the only brand we buy. Tillamook ice cream is divine. Always have a variety of cheeses on hand too

Re: My Facetruck thread.
I do not understand why prescription medicine is allowed to advertise on TV or why anyone would think of trying one of the medicines after
listening to the laundry list of warnings of possible side effects. But this is definitely an exception! Do you have feelings of inadequacy? Do you suffer from shyness? Do you sometimes wish you were more assertive? Do you sometimes feel stressed? If you answered yes to any of these questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist about Cabernet Sauvignon. Cabernet Sauvignon is the safe, natural way to feel better and more confident. It can help ease you out of your shyness and let you tell the world that you are ready and willing to do just about anything. You will notice the benefits of Cabernet Sauvignon almost immediately, and, with a regimen of regular doses, you will overcome obstacles that prevent you from living the life you want. Shyness and awkwardness will be a thing of the past. You will discover talents you never knew you had.. Cabernet Sauvignon may not be right for everyone. Women who are pregnant or nursing should not use it but women who would not mind nursing or becoming pregnant are encouraged to try it. Side effects may include: dizziness, nausea, vomiting, incarceration, loss of motor control, loss of clothing, loss of money, delusions of grandeur, table dancing, headache, dehydration, dry mouth and a desire to sing Karaoke and play all-night Strip Poker, Truth Or Dare and Naked Twister. Warnings: The consumption of Cabernet Sauvignon may make you think you are whispering when you are not. The consumption of Cabernet Sauvignon may cause you to tell your friends over and over again that you love them. The consumption of Cabernet Sauvignon may cause you to think you can sing. The consumption of Cabernet Sauvignon may create the illusion that you are tougher, smarter, faster and better looking than most people. Please feel free to share this important medical information! “LIFE IS A CABERNET OLD CHUM”!

Re: My Facetruck thread.
I've never seen Tillamook ice cream. They must keep the good stuff over on your side. Maybe I can buy it online
The Kerrigold 1# blocks of cheese I buy all cost the same at the big grocery stores. We have three in my town. Let's say its $6. Where I like to get it is at the country market that is getting into it's 3rd generation. It's a meat market but a darn good grocery store stocked with good stuff. They sell it for $4 something. Goes to show all the smoke and mirrors used by these big grocers with their sales, club cards, Just4U, whatever. I thought the whole benefit "to the consumer" for having huge conglomerate corporations supplying our food was paying less through their buying more. This little mom & pop store can sell an item for about 25% less and they have less than 1% the buying power

Re: My Facetruck thread.
Wish I would of taken a picture...but yesterday for breakfast I had everything I have been craving for the last few months! Skillet with hash browns, sausage, bacon, ham, 2 over easy and ALL covered in sausage gravy! Man was it good! Didn't have a lot, just enough to knock the edge off
