Talking Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Drove the truck up to Shelby NC about 150 miles round trip. My nephew got married. Wife and I had a good day driving.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Angry Re: What did you do to your truck today!

I called a few more places looking for someone who'll install a new windshield , this is crazy as Mercedes Benz Automobiles use grommets too up into the 1990's but no one wants to work on " old cars " what a buncha crap .

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

I called three body shops to see when I can come for estimates on getting the dented fender fixed. Hopefully I can run it over there tomorrow then get those figures out to Jenn and then see what UPS tells us.

I also decided to not fix the one broken bolt that holds in the gas tank. I'll skip that and wait till she is running again.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

This is over a period of about a week and a half.

Pulled heater box to get to the core and found the box badly rusted inside. Ordered a new box and gasket set. Cleaned up the rust on the firewall, went through three different heater cores till I finally got one to match. Just got it all back together and now on to the radiator...finally.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Pulled the Roch. 2G carb off my 283, dissassembled it, getting it ready for my first carb rebuild. Very crusty and needs a thorough cleaning. Need to get this truck running again.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Me and the wife pulled out and trashed most of the interior. glad to see that shag carpet gone. Found only normal rust. But PO hacked up the tranny hump way more than I thought for a floor shift.
also removed the cowl and cleaned all the mud and leaves and sticks out of it. Glad to see no rust!
Pictures will come later.
