That looks like GM Code 23 Medium Blue. Love that color. My '65 was that color back in the day...

Nice looking truck!

I really like the looks of this one. It reminds me of my old 81 custom deluxe. Nice job man.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

Here is a pic of my newest addition to my fleet. It's an '87 Silverado R10.
Before:

After with 3" drop Belltech spindles and 1 cut coil and a flip kit out back. Tires are 255/70s with 15x8 rally wheels. I also had to trim the lower control arms to clear the rims.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

Here are some pics of both squares side by side. The brown one is an '82 Silverado with Corvette rallies 15x8 up front and 15x10 out back with 245/60/15s and 295/50/15s BFGs. It's dropped with 3" Belltech spindles and lowered springs (heated to lower 3"/done years ago) and flip kit with straightened leafs and notched. It has helper bags out back to raise it to even it out.

Thanks for compliments. I did not C-notch the gray truck. I did cut the rivets and took off the bump stop brackets. I then installed some regular bump stops for the rear. Also put some dropped shocks out back. The fronts are stock. The rear flip kit is a McGaughy's. It dropped the truck a little under 6 inches. Front is dropped 4 inches.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

Thanks, That is good info. Where did you get a "regular bump stop" and how is it different from the stock one?

It's a bump stop with a threaded rod sticking out of it. They usually come in the lowering kits or you can buy one at any auto parts stores. I'll try to see if I can find a pic of one so you can see what I'm talking about.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

The bump stop is an Energy Suspension bump stop. It's kind of like the one in the following link:

Finally lowered my '75 Sierra. FRONT: 2.5" Mcgaughy's dropped spindles and '66 Buick LeSabre front springs with 2.5 coils removed. REAR: SpecialtyRetail axle flip brackets. Looks dope, handles better and rides nicer!

Here's some pictures of my newly redone 78 from the white 2 wheel drive long box to a black and grey 4x4 short box. 454 big block vintage 15x8 1/2 aluminum slots, bucket seats, counsel , A/C, electric windows, electric locks.
