Re: Big savings on Doug Thorley headers/exhaust!!!
Since I hear about a lot of folks running Chevelle BBC headers, what do you have for those in a shorter length? Or even a 73-87 BBC truck header?

How does the chrome hold up on headers??? Is the warranty the same for chrome as it is for ceramic coated?. They look nice!

The chrome we use is considered an industrial coating. It is "high nickel" and is applied more for substrate protection vs. looks. Same warranty applies to chrome, limited lifetime. |

Re: Big savings on Doug Thorley headers/exhaust!!!
Jamie is right about the chrome. It will turn color and rust over time. I had two sets and they were priceless. Never had a leak and that was with 2 broken studs. Outstanding Byson(?) gaskets.

Folks these headers are awesome! The fit is great and the quality is unbelievable. Here's a few quick snapshots. I want to confirm with Jamie before I post all. The beauty of the pictures is what you don't see as well as what you do,

Re: Big savings on Doug Thorley headers/exhaust!!!
Believe it or not, it's bare metal that has been polished. Jamie said they do this in preparation to ceramic coating.

Re: Big savings on Doug Thorley headers/exhaust!!!
Wow! Since they are bare metal are you going to seal them with anything to keep them from rusting?

Re: Big savings on Doug Thorley headers/exhaust!!!
They aren't listing them yet, but soon. I don't think they have a part # yet. I'm using the Early Classic Enterprise motor mounts and I currently have the truck pan but will be switching to the Camaro pan soon (at least on my Suburban). You can check out my build threads below, they contain all the information and lot of pictures.

What about headers for a 502? Looked on the site all I found were small block.

I agree, we need some big block headers with 2" primaries and 3 1/2" collectors that don't hang to low.
