Re: Crew cab owners

This might be a pretty good deal for someone:
"1978 Chevy 1-ton 4x4 Crew Cab - $2499 (spanaway - *EDIT this is in WA)
350 automatic 4x4 classic runs good call 253-318-5184
"

I talked to him and this is what he says:
- he is a dealer but this is his personal truck
- 92k original
- rust free except the front edge of the hood
- tires at ~50%
- no PW or PL
- AC truck but it doesn't work. Says all parts are there though

It is a fair drive away for me to go look at but if its close to what he says the price doesn't seem too far off?

Re: Crew cab owners

I've contemplated buying this truck a number of times. It's forsale for $20k, but the rig is in perfect condition. Zero rust, zero dents, great paint, 62k ori miles. The only problem is that I would want to do the conversion and it would be tough to cut up this truck.

Re: Crew cab owners

Man, these crew cabs are so cool! I really want to get one and make a killer toy hauler. Anyone drop one with a flat bed on it? How about a Duramax swap?

Are the half ton trucks just conversions? Where can you get lowering kits for the 3/4 and 1 ton trucks?

Keep em comin, some seriously cool looking trucks here!

Re: Crew cab owners

I have an 87 crewcab shortbed...I have some work to do to get it back on the road like...put a motor and tranny in it...shorten the rear brake line...shorten the driveshaft...put in the shortbed tanks I have...and put the bed on and wire up the taillights...I also have some dually fenders coming from a good friend and board member here and they will be going on shortly and I'll be converting it over to a dually...so I'll have a dually shorty...lol...also, I'll probably putting 22 semis on it eventually when money allows...
